So full disclosure, I'm a Postmates driver. The lady at the front was incredibly rude to me while I was trying to place the order for the customer.
Postmates doesn't always have the menu correct, or a "full" menu. So whenever I told her an item on the list that had options she forced me to contact the customer to see exactly what it is she wanted. Which is fine and I understand there point of view on this, it does make sense.
The customer was very quick in her response times to my texts, the problem is that everytime I had to text her, the lady would erase my order so we had to start over 3-4 times. A little patience would have gone a long way, especially seeing as the customer was texting me back almost immediately.
I finally just cancelled the order, cause I can easily just do another order and deliver it in the amount of time that was wasted.
So first of all, if you don't like Postmates that's fine, but I'm just a human being trying to make an hourly wage. Not only that but I'm a veteran who travels the country. Treat me like a human being please, not with rudeness, impatience, and as if I'm an inconvenience. Postmates is giving you guys tons of orders and as a result making you more money than you normally would.
Secondly, if you don't like the way Postmates orders are coming into your restraurant, you have TWO OPTIONS.
Contact Postmates and tell them to remove your restraurant from their platform. This way you won't have to deal with us driver's that you hate so much, at all.
Contact Postmates and tell them you would like to be a partner, they will then provide you a tablet, and you can receive orders through there.
Needless to say, I will not be taking anymore Postmates orders from this place, nor will I be eating here myself for personal reasons. You just...
Read moreWe’ve lived in the area for quite awhile and were looking for someplace “new” to try so we stopped in at Lone Spur Cafe. Arriving after the lunch rush it seemed as though there was not enough staff as we waited a good ten minutes to be seated by an extremely busy server, Ken, who ended up being a fun individual to interact with. Once seated it took a bit of time until Ken was able to take our drink orders and then our food orders. No issue for us as we enjoyed chatting amongst ourselves and taking in the rustic decor all around us. The food we ordered was hot and delicious when it arrived. I opted to have breakfast w scrambled eggs, bacon and pancake w blueberries added on top. When I write the word pancake, I literally mean PANCAKE - this pancake was the largest single pancake I’ve ever seen in person!!! It was HUGE - I could only get half of it in my stomach as there was so much of it. Normally I leave uneaten breakfast foods behind after I’m finished eating but this time I opted to take the delicious leftover home w me as I knew I could finish it off the following morning and it would taste just as good as it did the first time I had it. (I was correct, yum!) My dining partner had a cup of tortilla soup - it was spicy but not hot spicy - he said it was very good w pieces of chicken and beans along w the tortilla chips. He seemed to enjoy it. His main dish was a hamburger w seasoned fries. This he said was cooked to perfection and delicious! Ken is a fun guy making puns and joking around - he seemed to remind us of Harpo Marks in many ways. We will be back in to dine and recommend to all - yummy food and a great atmosphere in which to enjoy what you eat. Prices are truly good compared to other dining places in...
Read moreDidn't manage to get the waitress' name that helped us but she was an older lady with short gray hair. We waited over and hour and 15 minutes for our food that we never received. She dissapeard for 20 minutes at a time and Everytime she would say "If you're wondering where I am I'm in the back working on your food and the manager is back there as well" however 3 other tables who came in 25 minutes after us got their food in a timely manner. She then proceeded to blame the kitchen that they messed up our whole order.
We finally asked her how much longer our food would be and continued to make excuses and blame the kitchen. She came back 5 minutes later with coupons and said we can't use them in this visit but the next visit we could.
My family was visiting for my graduation and were leaving after we finished eating and I am moving in the next couple days. We expressed this to her and that we wanted our meal discounted. She said she couldn't do that so we asked where the manager is. She said again the manager is in the back working on our food.
We asked to speak with the manager and she changed her excuse to "she's on the other line and can't get to you guys right now" so in disgust we walked out of the restaurant.
I'm sure she forgot to send the order to the kitchen and therefore our order got backed up however instead of taking responsibility and actually finding a solution she continued to hide and make excuses. Very frustrated she would not let us talk to the manager to sort this out. It showed a lack of integrity and training by the management as she can get away with...
