In case you don’t read through this entire review, I want to say upfront that what we loved about Somerset house and was absolutely everything! ||I’ll give a brief list here and not necessarily in any order: perfect location, fabulous Victorian architecture, well appointed gorgeous bedrooms and guest spaces, 24 hour coffee, tea and water cooler service, delicious homemade American breakfasts, generous wine and beverage happy hour, outdoor space including a lovely deck, two garden sitting areas and fire pit, plush comfy beds, pillows and bedding. ||Then there are the people. The innkeeper Courtney is simply an amazing person who welcomes you into her life’s dream, Somerset House. She is an outstanding example of a woman-owned successful business. All of her staff reflect her values…the perfect balance of friendly assistance and professionalism. ||We stayed three nights in the Mary Oliver room on the second floor with a great view of Commercial Street and the harbor…the automatic gas fireplace was a beautiful touch! ||We loved it and will always stay there when visiting Ptown. ||Thanks...

Today, July 7, 2023 is the 8th day of our 10-day stay at this B&B. I thought of writing this review on our 2nd day because my partner and I were so much happier staying here compared to the other Ptown B&B where we stayed last year, but I thought I'd wait a few more days just to make sure. Well, my rating for this B&B would still be as high today as it was on our 2nd day. In fact, I found more excellent reasons to book our stay for next year before we check-out! Courtney is a wonderful, kind and attentive host. Her staff, Jerome and Simone, are both very helpful and polite. This place has a happy hour with a generous selection of complementary wine and beer to choose from. Guests have access to a wide selection of Keurig coffee as well as tea and water. The dining area is well appointed and provides for ample opportunity to get to know other guests. The rooms are wonderful, and the location is within walking distance of both the East end and West end attractions. I very highly recommend The Somerset House.

Took a few days off to escape to Ptown and stayed at the Somerset House Inn. My parents stayed the month before and talked about how kind the staff were and how unique this little gem is.

Stayed with a friend and we had such a great experience. There’s breakfast in the morning that changes but on Tuesdays you go to a restaurant down the street that’s on the house by the inn that had really great food. Courtney the inn keeper is so attentive to details in the site and information all over the house. It felt like my questions were answered by how informed she was. She also re-did the house when she got it a few years ago that has brought the Victorian charm of the house back with a modern flare. The fire place outside is in such a great spot to see the moon and beach at night.

The breakfast was amazing and the cocktail hour Courtney has kept going from the last owners was so nice to stop by at. 10/10 what a wonderful experience! Can’t wait to come back maybe...

My daughter and I stayed a few nights for the Portuguese Festival. We stayed in the Hawthorne room. It’s large, clean and spacious and has the sunroom that faces Commercial Street. The breakfast was outstanding. The front yard has plenty of tables and chairs and a fire pit. We spent a lot of time there just people watching. The hosts were friendly and kind. Jerome stayed late because we got caught in traffic. Thanks Jerome! We will definitely stay again and will recommend this lovely place to others. Just a couple of things to know…the mattress is hard, I prefer a softer type. And the parking is typical Provincetown, the inn only had 3 parking places. If you don’t grab one of those, you’re walking several blocks to a parking lot. If you’re older, like me, it’s important to be aware of this. You can rent golf carts (that need parking) or there are “pedi-taxis” that are super useful. Thank you so much for such a pleasant stay.

If you want to experience ambiance and hospitality, Somerset House Inn fits the Bill. I was so impressed with the decor and friendliness of the staff. A BIG THANK YOU to Patrick, who we wanted to meet while we were there, but we missed. He helped us hold onto our reservation which was postponed TWICE Cuz of COVID. And Dean, who greeted us and made us feel right at home. He also helped me with a wonderful 75th birthday celebration for my bestie. And, I’m sorry I didn’t get her name, the sweet lady that us breakfast to order. You’re a great cook!😘We WILL be back next year. Hopefully for a couple days! Thanks again from Donna and Pam.😘😘
