I was in Provincetown over the weekend and witnessed an appalling interaction between the person handing out orders at the pick up window and a customer waiting to pick up their food. While I was waiting for my order to be ready, a woman waited for the pick up window to be free of other customers. When the gentleman handing out orders asked the woman if she had ordered on line or over the phone she said online. He looked for her order and told her it would be a few more minutes. She said ok and walked away to wait for her food. A few minutes later the gentleman called out this woman's name and asked again if she had ordered on line or over the phone. The woman apologized and said she had mis-spoken and had actually ordered over the phone. His response to this was to yell at her then turn to other people waiting for their orders and exclaim in a rather condescending tone "Well the customers always right!" The look on this poor woman's face was one of absolute embarrassment. There was no need at all for this man to speak to this woman that way. For a business that has signs all over it asking their customers to be kind, the sure seem to be rude and unwilling to take their own advice. I will not...
Read moreFar Lands Provision is the kind of place you stumble upon once and keep returning to every time you're in Provincetown. We stopped in for a quick breakfast and were blown away by the quality, prices, and cozy, welcoming vibe.
The raspberry cheese croissant and chocolate croissant were both under $2(!), flaky and buttery with just the right amount of filling and sweetness. The peach nutmeg scone with icing (under $5) was moist and perfectly spiced, and the bread pudding at $5 was rich, comforting, and generously portioned. We paired everything with hot and iced coffee (love that they have decaf available!), and the brews were strong, smooth, and just what we needed.
One of the biggest highlights: dog-friendly! My husband and I were able to bring in our 7-year-old pug, who was greeted with love by the staff. That made the whole experience feel even warmer and more relaxed.
Delicious food, fair prices, great coffee, and pet-friendly? Far Lands is a must-visit....
Read moreI’m sorry to have to do this but hoping it will help and you will see this and do something about it.
This is a great place and your sandwiches would be amazing if you changed / were more careful with 1 thing: egg shells in the sandwich. Everytime I get a sandwich from here there’s an eggshell in it. Feeling that crunch in your mouth is so ugh plus eggshells are dirty and gross so they need to be handled properly.
It’s a shame because I think this place is super cute and everyone is so friendly. So, I will delete this in a week but wanted to write so someone see’s it. If you don’t believe me, inspect some of the sandwiches that are ready and you’ll see. I promise I didn’t care the first time, second time even third time it happened to me. But the 4th and 5th I did. I’m only writing this because I legit just found a shell right now. Please please please tell your cooks to be careful about eggs shells ending up in the pan or inside...
