This shop has a large number of bikes to choose from and a great location to get to the National Sea Shore trails. However, after hopping on the bike and riding about a block away, I noticed my seat was set too low (the attendant didn't actually set the seat hight, just gave me the bike). So, off we rode....until my seat seemed to be lowering itself. I reset it again, rode off for a half mile into the park. I needed to adjust it again and I noticed when I looked behind me, the actual seat twisted with me. I adjusted the seat yet again and noticed the washer was very warn. I did what I could, but it did continue to lower itself.
Upon returning from our 2 hour trip through the National Sea Shore, I reported what was happening to the return attendant. He put it back into circulation. I also mentioned that when I got on the bike I immediately ended up with wet shorts - the seat acts like a sponge and it had rained the entire day before. He knew that would happen. I'm sure they all do. But why not either cover the seats or not rent out those types of bikes the day after? I rode 10 miles with wet shorts and the attendant didn't seem to care - about either issue.
Be aware of what you're renting and if you rent after a rain, don't rent a bike with a soft seat -...
Read moreThis place is awesome! Location is great ( make sure you go to Provincetown Bike Rentals on Bradford St.- near the big parking lot- as there are several bike rental places in town); prices are great; the bikes are the most comfortable thing I have ever ridden; and the staff is THE BEST. The owner, Mike, is very friendly and helpful. My husband and I rented bikes on a whim when we were in town, and although I thought it was a little silly initially ( because had we planned we could have brought our own bikes)it turned out to be the best decision. We loved the bikes so much I decided to look into buying one for my husband for his birthday. Mike, was so kind and helpful in answering my many questions to help me out with this surprise.Give these guys your business....5...
Read moreI would highly recommend Provincetown Bike Rentals! This shop is great! We were in town the Saturday before July 4 and rented our bikes from them. It was a busy holiday weekend, but they were so well organized, so nice, so helpful and really tried to make sure that we were set for a great Saturday. We biked to the Race Point Beach. We were pretty tired when we go there, and still had the rest of the day to go, including our ferry ride back to Boston. When we called to ask about picking up our bikes at the beach, they were so friendly and willing to do it! Not only did they pick up our bikes for us, they picked us up and drove us back into town. If we are ever back in town and looking for bikes, I will go here. Great service,...
