After deciding it would be a good idea to purchase a new mattress, my fiancé and I decided to go to this popular store because we heard good things regarding it. Ultimately, that was just the start of our problems. We went in explaining to the sales man that we were not looking to open a credit card and we’re looking into the program they had called Progressive Leasing. After a few questions we signed on the dotted line indicating we wished to proceed after the salesman had reaffirmed is it was a “retail credit”. He said we were approved and paid partially in cash for our mattress and we left feeling we had made a sound decision, but that was just the start. Two weeks had past and to our shock one day in the mail we received A CREDIT CARD and even later found out that my credit score had dropped nearly 50 points due to a recent inquiry, a new open account, and maxing out a credit card. We were planning on purchasing a home and that’s why we didn’t want a credit card, but his negligence has extended that process by months and only after contacting Fortiva to report fraud did they actively even respond to us. Before that we had TWO general managers that spoke to us when it was convenient and only offered us a refund more than one month after the issue occurred. They apologized and said they reprimanded the individual, but why must my fiance and I have foot the bill due to the negligence of a sales rep. Ultimately, after considering legal action, we realized we’d lose more money hiring a lawyer and took “the easy way out” by just returning the mattress, but we are STILL fixing our damaged credit score, don’t have a mattress, and have now extended our house buying plans by MONTHS due to their negligence. We also heard similar stories from others once we voiced what had happened to us and we were astonished that even ONE more person had to go through what we did. It definitely shows that they are sales driven regardless of how they receive their sale. We will never be going back to this store and we hope no one else goes through what we did. Posting...
Read moreI recently ventured into Denver Mattress, armed with a mission: to find the perfect mattress that would cradle me like a cloud and not leave me feeling like I spent the night on a medieval torture device. Enter our heroic salesman Marcus, who I'll refer to as "Mattress Whisperer."
From the moment we stepped in, he greeted us with a smile that could only be matched by the comfort of a thousand pillows. He took his time—like, I mean, he was practically helping us write a love letter to our mattress. It was almost as if he was auditioning for a role in a mattress-themed rom-com.
He guided us through the vast landscape of mattresses, explaining the differences between memory foam and innerspring like he was narrating a nature documentary. "And here we see the memory foam, a gentle giant that cradles you with warmth and love, unlike your ex who always hogged the blankets."
After what felt like an epic quest, we finally found "The One." It was love at first lie-down. I could practically hear angels singing as I sank into the perfect blend of support and plushness. I even had a moment where I considered moving in right then and there, but I figured that would be awkward for everyone involved.
Thanks to Marcus the Mattress Whisperer, I left Denver Mattress not just with a mattress but with a newfound appreciation for sleep. If you're on the hunt for the perfect mattress and a salesman who could charm the socks off a pair of flip-flops, do yourself a favor and visit this place. Your back will thank you, and your dreams will be less like horror movies and more like...
Read moreThe salesman, Jeremy, met us right away. I told him we were looking for a mattress that would help with my low back pain. First thing he wanted to do was a strength test! I said what? He said I would raise my arms, he would push against to test my strength. I said no to that! What did that have to do with getting a mattress? Of course he goes right over to the very expensive Tempur-pedic mattresses. I was willing to try them, even though they were really, really expensive. None really seem to help my pain laying down so he took a show he showed Doctors Choice mattresses. Side note, Jeremy said he had low back pain because he was in the marching band and carry very large drum. Back to the mattresses, I did find a mattress that works for me. While writing up the order, Jeremy, whose voice was very soft said that the package also came with a set of sheets, pillows and pillowcases. Then he tells me that he's going to throw in two more pillows because the company ordered too many and they weren't selling like they thought. When he showed me the total, I was being charged $79.99 for the sheets and another $69 for the pillows. I told him I didn't want either one, the way he said it they were free but I I was going to be charged for them. Back to Jeremy being in the marching band, he changed his story and said he carried the bassoon. I'm not sure he remembered what his story was. I asked about the return policy, he said I have four months to return it for a full refund not a store credit, after that it would be a store refund. We will see if this really...
