Museum review, not theater
Ok, let's be honest. It's super cheap to get in so I didn't expect a ton of highly trained staff, but who we did interact with were all very friendly. This place is probably the best indoor playground I have ever seen. My four year old daughter had an amazing time. But I understand, having a similar "museum" locally, that these places aren't set up to be a learning experience, they are set up for fun, plain and simple. And there was plenty of fun to be had around every corner.
There were a few things here and there that were broken/inoperable but with the amount of kids banging on things they'd have to fix things hourly to keep up.
Food at the Pogo cafe place was surprisingly good. Though I think I got a total of eight fries alongside my burger.
One thing of note that really surprised me was the wood working section upstairs. We were visiting from out of town but I can't imagine Raleigh somehow being the only place in America where you can give kids razor sharp saws and drills and not expect horrific consequences. We had a great time cutting and drilling wood but as I looked around (and what seems typical nowadays) and saw a lot of unattended kids wielding sharp tools. I can't believe they haven't had accident yet.
Overall as long as you don't expect Smithsonian level education and you watch your kid(s) they should have a...
ย ย ย Read moreAwful first time experience. Sitting here outside the theater at the concession stand because we couldnโt get seats together inside. We got here 45 minutes before the movie started. No one could tell us where to pick up our tickets. The email said Will Call box but there was no such place. We kept being sent from one place to another. Finally 30 minutes later we got the tickets that I prepaid for online and paid an extra $4 for just so would not have to go through this. By the time we got our tickets we were way up in boarding pass 210 and 211. We waited for them to call yellow passes. They said to stay in numerical order. No one stayed in numerical order!! People with higher numbers than us were way ahead of us in line. I told one of the staff no one was in line and she just laughed and said I guess people donโt no numerals. I didnโt find this amusing. By the time we got into the theater we had to either sit in the very front row which is horrible, or sit separately because people were leaving seats between them and no one asked them to slide down. So here we are having to wait for the next show which means paying another $8 for parking. So far I have spent $55 for two people to see a movie. They wouldnโt give us our money back or we would have just left. This theater needs to get it together. This is ridiculous and I will be posting all over...

A Stellar IMAX Experience at Marbles Museum I recently had the pleasure of attending the "Becoming Led Zeppelin" show at the Marbles Museum IMAX theater, and I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a team of friendly and knowledgeable volunteers who were passionate about sharing their love for the museum and its exhibits. The theater itself is a marvel of engineering, with a giant screen that immerses you in the cinematic experience. The sound system is equally impressive, delivering crystal-clear audio that perfectly complements the visuals. The "Becoming Led Zeppelin" show was a visual and auditory feast, showcasing the band's rise to fame and their enduring legacy. The staff and volunteers at Marbles Museum are truly what make the experience special. Their enthusiasm and dedication are infectious, creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for everyone. They are always happy to answer questions and share their knowledge about the exhibits and the museum's history. The ticket prices for the IMAX shows are very reasonable, making it an affordable and accessible experience for families and individuals alike. Overall, I cannot recommend the Marbles Museum IMAX theater highly enough. It is a must-see for any fan of movies,...
