Let me just start off by saying this used to be my favorite mexican restaurant, and no matter where I lived in raleigh, I would go to this mexican restaurant over all the other ones. Last night I entered into this restaurant where I was waiting for someone to greet me and to assist me as I was there picking up an order. I stood in the entryway, where I was repeatedly passed by and not acknowledged. A person whom I assume was supposed to have been the hostess, walked up to the front where I was standing and continued to ignore me. The phone rang for the restaurant and then he took the call. Once I realized that I was not going to receive any help, I saw an order sitting on a table so I walked over to it to see if the name that I was looking for was on the receipt that was stapled to the bag. When I did this, the man, while still on the phone, walked over to me and put his finger in my face. I guess, as a way of telling me to wait. After the man got off the phone, he then walked away once again without greeting me or asking me how he could help me. As I continue to stand there without any assistance from anyone in the restaurant and continued to be walked pass, there were several groups of people who walked in and were immediately greeted and seated. As I continue to stand there and wait to be greeted and assisted, there were two other people who walked in behind me, who were also there to pick up an order. The man who was ignoring me eventually came back to the front of the restaurant and asked the two people who were also waiting to pick up an order how he could help them. The two people said to the man that I had been there first and I still needed to be assisted. The man then waved his hand at me and said, I already know why she's here. I then said to the man, How do you know why I am here or the name on the order if you haven't even greeted me or assisted me by asking me the name for the order? And in a dismissive way, the man continued to wave his hand at me and ignore me and never answered my question. I had a similar experience when I went into this same restaurant last week. I had to wait almost 15 minutes to be acknowledged for a pickup order after being continuously walked pass. I would not recommend this restaurant for anyone to go to after the treatment that I received two times in a row. I left this restaurant and went immediately across the street to El Toro Loco Taqueria and as soon as I entered the restaurant, I was immediately greeted by the workers and was immediately asked how I could be helped. I would advise going to El Toro Loco Taqueria over El Rodeo because at El Toro Loco Taqueria you are treated with human kindness and dignity. Needless to say, I will not ever again be returning to El Rodeo, because if you cannot even greet me nor assist me, you most certainly do not...
Read moreEl Rodeo Mexican Restaurant in downtown Raleigh, NC is a great place to go for a delicious and authentic Mexican meal. The restaurant has a casual and relaxed atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.
The menu features a wide variety of Mexican dishes, including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas. I highly recommend the El Rodeo Burrito, which is filled with your choice of meat, beans, rice, and cheese, and is topped with a delicious green sauce. The margaritas are also excellent, and they come in a variety of flavors.
In addition to the food and drinks, El Rodeo is also known for its lively atmosphere and its frequent live music performances. The restaurant is a great place to go for a night out with friends or family, or to celebrate a special occasion.

Read moreI wish I could give this place no stars but sadly there I have to give them 1 star. When we first came in everything was PERFECTLY FINE. Our waiter got our drinks and our order everything was good. When my bestfriend recieved her order she realized that guacamole came on it and she is severely allergic to avocado. It was bad on her part for not realizing-- so to fix the issue we ask the waiter nicely to get it removed from her plate and that's when everything went down hill from there. As soon as we ask he just gave us attitude and rolled his eyes and when walking away he shook his head as if we inconvenienced him. Then when we all recieved our food all 4 of us were some how and some way dissatisfied with our meal. With burnt chips, miseassoned foods and other problems we were very unhappy. We tried to express our concerns to (Tony off of reciept) he immediately got hostile. When the manager came over at the request of us, we got told that they couldn't exchange nor refund our food and that this was a new rule (posted nowhere to see). As we collected our items to leave we were mocked by our waiter and laughed at. As we were leaveing after we paid we told the manager how hostile our waiter was, he literally came yelling at us as we were walking out. This was overall a...
