I love Crabtree Valley Mall! I usually go here just to walk off whatever occasional big meal I previously ate. I have to say the mall itself is huge is has medium-ish wide walking isles (they could be wider) but, you get what you get. I love to just usually have a jog in here and very occasionally sprint. If you are wondering why I run in a mall instead of a lake or a track; well, 1. The mall has air conditioning making it easier and more effective to sprint without sweating/get tired. #2. There are no germs in the mall! Crabtree is well known for its astounding cleaning staff making sure every nook and cranny is spic and span, squeaky clean. This makes my run worry-free from all the nasty nature that you would usually find in, lakes and the outdoors. #3. If I want to take a break and stop in a store to shop, I can be within walking distance of an inch! This makes it easier and more efficient to go shopping afterward my run. #4. The mall has all sorts of delicious, fun, and, snazzy snacks. I can easily try something in the mall that I would usually never find in a grocery store, supermarket, or bulk shopping warehouse. Finally, Crabtree Vally Mall is full of fun, snappy and creative people who welcome you into the warm, charming, and rich side of Raleigh that we rarely get to see. The mall community is often overlooked as being trashy, unfashionable, and, tasteless; but with the whole new enchanted valley mall experience, you get introduced to a whole new world that will make you feel welcome, appreciated, and warm Inside. That whole new experience starts at the door when you are greeted by multiple personal shoppers that are more than happy to help you with any questions you have about the mall. These workers are crucial to meet with to, have the ultimate magical exploration of Raleigh (perfect for tourists). These personal shoppers will even go as far as recommending places for you to dine within the mall or even in Raleigh, of course keeping in mind your desirable budget. With this special perk, it makes it easy to have a warm, delicious, and comforting meal that won't break the bank. These charming workers will even hold your bags for you while you shop and recommend and make suggestions on your preferred purchases. They will help you explore different payment options which is perfect if you are on a tight budget and would still like to purchase something during your Valley Mall experience. Lastly, to conclude your fabulous trip to the mall; these personal shoppers will walk you to your car, and even put your purchases in your trunk. All of this amazing service at the low price of 10$ an hour! If you plan on taking a trip down to Crabtree Valley Mall, make sure you book in 3 months' advance since the slots can fill up so quickly during the summer. If you plan on going during the holidays, you will need to book a personal shopper 1 year in advance this is because, during popular holidays like Christmas, more people usually need more help in deciding what they should purchase for their loved ones and the personal shoppers help...
Read moreNavigating the parking zones of Crabtree Valley Mall feels akin to participating in a high-stakes game of bumper cars—minus the thrill and with a higher likelihood of vehicle mishaps. It’s not unusual to witness the unfortunate aftermath of careless hit-and-run incidents, where cars sport new battle scars multiple times a day. Personally, I tend to avoid this shopping hub more often than not, a strategy that has served me well.
In my youthful days, however, I was a frequent visitor to the Old Navy nestled within those crowded confines, where I indulged in a delightful shopping spree for an array of promotional t-shirts. Ah, the good old days of fashion enthusiasm! Fast forward to the present, and my interest in sartorial splendor has waned significantly. Now, my wardrobe refresh consists solely of a dozen plain black t-shirts and v-necks every three months—because let’s face it, nothing says “I’ve given up on life” quite like faded fabric from overzealous washing.
Oh, and speaking of my escapades at Crabtree Valley Mall, I once made a rather extravagant purchase at the now-defunct Sears there. In an act of chivalry—or perhaps sheer folly—I bought a car battery for my then-girlfriend, who was knee-deep in statistical equations at UNC. The battery was promptly shipped off to Chapel Hill to ensure her ride would continue rolling smoothly. And let’s not forget the $600 splurge on a Sony F717 camera at that same establishment. I might as well have been funding a small country!
Recently, while perusing Google Maps for their latest panoramic images, I found myself scratching my head in bemusement. It seems Crabtree Valley Mall prefers to pay someone exorbitantly for lackluster panoramic shots of its facade rather than employ someone like me, an amateur photographer who takes joy in capturing the world through my lens without charging a dime! It’s truly baffling—why pay for what could be done for free by someone with a passion for photography?
Many folks believe that when it comes to paid services, quality is inherently superior. However, I firmly assert that my 360° panorama skills eclipse those of any professional panorama photographer in North Carolina by a factor of at least one hundred! Alas, it appears my talents go unnoticed, much like that lone sock that mysteriously disappears in the laundry cycle. Isn’t it just absurd?
So here I am, humorously lamenting my position as an underappreciated artist in a world that values expensive over exceptional. If only they knew that sometimes the most delightful treasures are found in the unlikeliest of places—like a humble hobbyist with a knack for capturing the essence of Crabtree Valley Mall’s...
Read moreI absolutely enjoy visiting this Mall In driving the parking lot, very clean- didn't see any "groups " hanging around- making it give a safe appearance. Parking was plentiful, including under in the shade. I shopped the Macy's just for a return this time In entering, I asked the employee if I could make my return with her- sounds a bit petty perhaps, she replied yes and told me she was going to wait on the next person just entering her line. Hummm, I was there prior to- so go figure- maybe she is on commission 🤔 Or possibly I rubbed her the wrong way, or...perhaps she wasn't sure of how to do a refund. Regardless- the attitude given as she made the decision to take the " next person" encouraged me I wouldn't hire her for my business- and proceeded to the shoe department- which is what the item I was returning. I pasted a couple of un- manned registers- puzzled no sign or direction was there so I could go about my business. Perhaps a " returns and or purchases can be completed in such and such department would have been nice! As I did my return in the shoe department, I was very nicely received. Transaction was quick, smooth and very friendly. Gave me such a good feeling, I looked around the displays and heard two styles of shoes calling me! Yes, two! I was happy to see the girl whom did my return transaction cheerfully attended to me. I showed her which two I was interested in as well as two sizes each. She was very fast but did not appear I was rushing her. As she also attended another patron, she remained engaged with me asking how the fit was and encouraged her suggestion for me to try. Soooo, I ened up purchasing her suggestion as well as one of my own. Very nice experience. In hindsight, if I had stayed with the first girl- I would not have heard the fries of two pair of lovely shoes destined for my shoe closet! I also may have left with the experience of an ugly personality. I'm hoping she was simply...
