Beware of “urine light” when moving out. I lived at these apartments for 2 years, never paid late, never caused disturbances. We had positive experiences with Melissa and Parker, they were usually very helpful and professional. Our biggest mistake was to trust the apartment to do the move out walkthrough. Although we took close to 40 photos to safeguard ourselves, we had nothing to worry about. Our apartment was professionally cleaned every other week and was in very good shape. I should have never trusted them to be credible. They did everything they could to take all of our security deposit. The units are nice, but for the price, sometimes, we had to really take "shorts". The problems started when we got a neighbor on the floor above us. It was a nightmare. The soundproofing certainly left something to be desired, but whatever “buffering” is built in, was no match for the excessive noise the new neighbors made. After several months of complaining, and the management (reportedly) fining them, we gave up. There was no way we were going to continue to pay over $2000 a month to live in that condition. We opted to leave. We had our attorneys write a letter to the apartments requesting we be released a month early since we had essentially been denied peace and quiet, and they agreed. Unfortunately, when we moved out, the apartments tried to charge us to paint the walls and charged us for "cat urine" stains UNDER the carpet ($400+ to replace carpet). They actually pull up the carpet looking for stains. I was really surprised when they said our cat had peed on the carpet because, we never seen or smelled cat urine. We lived in a much larger house before and our cat peed and it was horrible. Our Vet told us that she was acting out because cats are territorial and are sometimes overwhelmed by larger houses. We found that when we downsized, the urination ceased. We leased a small condo before moving to the apartments and we had no issues with her going outside of the box. We were certain that if she had peed in the apartment, we would’ve known (it's a small space). When I had Natalie do an accompanied walk through with me , she pulled out a urine detector light to "prove" it was cat pee. When it glowed, I conceded and apologized - I was amazed - still couldn’t figure out how we never saw or smelled cat urine in our apartment. I then asked her to about the partial paint" charge of $198.00. she said "well, they painted already, so I'll take your word for it." and she ordered a refund of the "partial paint" fee. The walls did not look freshly painted to me, but I didn't question it. 2 weeks, later our cat peed in our new home (much larger than the condo and apartment) and we knew it immediately. I started researching urine detector lights so I could pinpoint the place she had peed, and I learned that all of these devices are not completely reliable and that some of them pick up other stains as urine. I asked Natalie to share with me the make and model she used to "prove" that the stains under the carpet were urine, and she said she didn't know. When I pressed for the info, she said she'd give it to me when her maintenance manager returned from vacation. That was on December 8, 2016. I never heard from her again. My attorneys sent a letter on December 29, 2016 requesting the information and asked what was the $35/month pet rent, plus $150 pet deposit for? Natalie never responded. I have since heard from another tenant that she had a similar experience and that another neighbor had shared a similar story with her.
Also, regarding pets, if you like dogs A LOT, this apartment is very pet friendly, but I don’t think the apartments did a good job at handling pet soil. The rugs at our elevators were disgusting most of the time and the door mat in the garage foyer smelled of pee all the time.
Great location, but after being a loyal tenant for 2 years, they have left a bad taste in my mouth. And they were raising our rent by $150/mth, so it was definitely time to...
Read moreMy review keeps going missing so here I am again ! Will submit to corporate next time this happens. DONT BELIEVE OTHER REVIEWS they literally give out incentives to get 5 star reviews. Upon living at this apartment I had to deal with a 89 degree apartment during the summer TWICE ac brakes easily and they have a huge issue with GAS LEAKING FROM COURT YARD GRILLS ETC even bought gas detector for my home because I complained approximately 7 8 different occasions had to call emergency maintenance because I could barley breathe the gas smell was SO STRONG in my apartment because the court yard and grills were right below ….and nothing was being done. Soon as I supplied proof of an actual GAS LEAK (my gas detector going off pictured below & always suppose to read 0 but went off at 6 & 7 frequently ) like magic I never smelled it again in my apartment. Other than that I absolutely loved my home. If Creekside had different management it would be an AMAZING COMMUNITY. Brennan is the most passive aggressive MANAGER I’ve ever encountered. Don’t have an attitude because it’s 89 degrees in your apartment and your having a rough day becuase nothings being done …..because he’s gonna give you attitude right back and make your day even worse His customer service skills are terrible and he could care less if your having troubles in your apartment. There are better alternatives in Raleigh I can tell you that much !!!
EDIT: Trying to deny that I went through any difficulties while I was living there won’t be tolerated. EVERYTHING is documented from every emergency maintenance call I made to maintenance men even noticing the smell upon entering and I had multiple conversations WITH BRENNAN about the GAS smell . My AC went out they provided me a PORTABLE WINDOW UNIT THAT WOULD ONLY COOL MY BEDROOM…. (I thought this was luxury living but your passing out window units ?) Nonetheless the reason I was not okay with this is because the gas smell was literally COMING FROM THE COURTYARD…. So, you want me to open my window right above the courtyard and allow all the smell to enter my home even more ?! When I had already brought it to managements attention. Lo and behold I kept complaining (ALL WHILE HAVING NO AC) and when they finally came it took them 15 minutes to actually fix my AC !!!!! The sheer disregard for your residents and laziness of your maintenance was the issue. Call me difficult I just wanted to live peacefully. Creekside did not allow that. They do nothing but add insult to injury at Creekside. The audacity to even deny I went through that is beyond me. Obviously from the response you’re not going to be held with professionalism. Look elsewhere. I also left that apartment in perfect condition they charged me a couple hundred $$ for “resealing the garden tub” Claiming the paint had been worn off . I wasn’t even there a year… you charged me for the normal ware and tare of your community. Then when I asked for an itemized material list and receipt of what I was paying for they could not provide OR SHOW ME THE REPAINTED NEW...
Read moreBEWARE....NEW MANAGEMENT HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING AT THIS LOCATION!!!!!New management took over in August 2017, we went from state of the art interactive website and tv system showing which apartments had packages waiting in their mailboxes to a basic website that only has an option to pay rent or put in a maintenance request. We use to have a residential portal/website that was a great source of information which allowed for the residence to converse with one another (something like Facebook) so we residence could share information and the rental office could provide information about different events. Now if you if you don't check your email you won't know what is going on. How is it that you we live in a upscale community in a great neighborhood but you have a multi million dollar/possibly billion dollar real estate company who bought our complex go from high-tech, family oriented community - to a backwards no up to date system in place mostly Gen X, Y and Z residents living here. Bell Partners Inc. is so out of touch with the Bell Stonebridge community it is embarrassing. For example...When I moved in...I got information about my surrounding community, free bag of groceries from Wegman's, coupons, information on the intercom system for my guest. ALL THAT IS GONE!!!!!Where are the community events we use to do, Why won't you bring back the interactive website so the residential community can share information, what happen to the warm and professional rental office personalities we are use to? Everything is business only. I waited for 15 minutes for a rental office representative to acknowledge me while waiting for someone to say.."I'll be with you in a few minutes. I just need to assist this customer." But did she no. She chose to look me in my face while she was speaking with her potential leasee. Now while I understand this is a business..how about you train your representatives to multi-task and do some customer service training on how to acknowledge customers in an office environment. BELL PARTNERS INC. SUCKS!!! Please don't be fooled by the surfaced and fake professionalism in the office. They are barely keeping it together. With the exception of one maintenance worker who was with the previous management - I don't know where the other staff is located. Don't be fooled by the amenities - they are not all the cracked up to be - especially when you have a company who refuses to allow the residence to converse and share information with one another. At the very least they can start a FB page for residence so they can share information. I wish they get some real professional, up to date and knowledgeable marketing rental office personalities that know how to...
