Only 4 stars because of how small the dog park and nature park were -- would love to see both of these expanded. In the dog park, there are no separate areas for small and large dogs, so everybody is in one fenced in mulchy yard. It was ok the day we went because there were only a few dogs, but the lack of separation could be dangerous during busy times. The nature park area is nice. Lots of cool plants to look at, a cute gazebo, and a bridge and some stairs that lead back to the playground. The brick pathway for this trail is so narrow and uneven, and when wet, are very slippery! Would not recommend for people in wheelchairs or folks with trouble walking. It's a great area otherwise and only takes a couple of minutes to walk through. This park also features an admin building, separate restrooms for park patrons, old and new playgrounds, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, and 3 baseball fields. A great place to bring...
Read moreI play Tennis... when all other public courts in Raleigh, especially at Millbrook Exchange Park, the courts at Jaycee Park are a simple alternative... however, there are only 2 courts... volley ball courts next to the courts is not a problem... all activities of humans getting "fun exercise" is great for all the people at the park... careful have to wind up here... Worst thing to me, about the Park, is access from Wade Avenue. I travel from Millbrook, towards the city on Capital Boulevard and then onto Wade Avenue... I am unsure about traveling "through the neighborhoods from Oberlin road,(especially after dark) so I turn off all distractions and hope for luck... I have to speed up and loose the car behind me, then slow down and hope for a navigable opening across oncoming traffic. So far I...
Read moreCute little urban park. The Dog Park only has one size, so not great for folks with small breed pups. Decided to walk the trail instead. It's a cute trail through a little arboretum, but the plants were quite overgrown and the trail really wasnt kept up all too nicely. So so experience that my dog enjoyed more than I did. Lots of smells for him. Places I didn't walk since the overgrown shrubbery made me think of ticks and snakes. If they would prune plants, it would be a...
