Edit 2: ubreakifix replace all that they would but have also broke the plastic that surrounds the screen in the process. I'm tired of dealing with them. I hope no one will have to deal with the issues I've had with them but I know I won't because I will never go back to ubreakifix. I'll try the place in Crabtree Mall they cost less anyway. Edit 1: I believe on their review of this post, they have offered to replace the back glass and the back of the phone as well as the original battery replacement at no monetary cost to me. We will see how this goes and I will update this post at that time. Original Post: Their technicians have either no experience or total disregard for their workmanship. I brought my nexus 6p to ubreakifix to replace the battery. The replacement was quick and I was back within two hours to pick up my phone. The technician had broken the back glass on the phone and would have to order the part (at no cost to me). Breaking the back glass while disassembling is very common so I was surprised they did not have the glass in stock. When I got home, I realized the fingerprint sensor was not working and the phone was not reassembled correctly. I tried to call five times in the 30 minutes before the store closed but no one would answer. When I tried to leave a message, I realized the microphone was not working either. In the technician’s rush to finish the job his neglect shown through. The next day, I drove back to the store again and dropped the phone off. The technician lied to me and told me the reason it was not assembled correctly was because he could not test my phone since I never gave them my pin and he could not unlock the device, but when you drop off the phone that’s one of the first questions they ask you, and I watched the sales guy put it into the computer, either way a horrible excuse. Couple hours later I picked the phone up and later that night switching my sim back to the phone I notice that the technician had used metal tools to disassemble the phone. Gouging and cutting the aluminum where plastic tools are supposed to be used which is totally unacceptable and unprofessional.

Being a previous customer since 2022 as well as recommending this place to several people since then, to this exact location. I can say I WILL NEVER do that again! From dropping my son’s PS5 off a week ago and having it opened and lightly assessed right there and then, literally a week later being called and left a message as well as sending a email telling me my device had been assessed and was being repaired! I called right back from a lady and saying it was INFESTED with ROACHES! I gave the lady my phone number again and ASKED again… What did she say?! She repeated herself, and I asked did you take picture, she chuckled a little and acted like I asked a dumb question and said NO very snarly! Because to me, if it was INFESTED I would document that with pictures a video or something! Obviously frustrated, I hung up, I was very confused being that I HAVE NO ROACHES in my home, the HOA sprays regularly, and my sons PS5 has been in a box for over 2 weeks because it wasn’t working! So I called back, I talked to the tech who said yeah I wasn’t even able to see what was wrong with it, a roach crawled out of it, so we can’t repair it! I said excuse me, he said I opened the device up and A roach crawled out of it, so yeah I can’t fix it. He said you can take it home and clean it yourself and then we will fix whatever is wrong with it. I said yeah, no. And asked, So the day I dropped it off, and yall opened it you didn’t see A ROACH, he said NO, he should have seen it and shouldn’t have kept it! A roach?!? A traveling PEST! Are you serious?! He didn’t see it because it wasn’t there! Your business is under a freaking apartment building and next to a restaurant! Then when I came in to pick up, she walks to back and snickered! Stop playing with me! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE! The mixing up of devices and assessments, email sent saying it’s being repaired, to literally telling me you didn’t even open it, and the nonchalant attitude. 10/10 will NEVER RECOMMEND! I wish I could give this place NO STAR!

On Wednesday, January 29th, I went to ubreakifix on Orberlin in Raleigh. Customer Service, CJ gave me three options for a screen change. I chose the LED for $150. After the repair was done and it was time to pay, he informed me my total was $250 because he replaced my screen with the OLED instead of the LED. So I asked him why he didn't informed me of the change before the repair. He informed me there wasn't anymore LED so he replaced the screen with the OLED. I told CJ he should had informed before replacing anything. A young lady came from the back aggressively continually repeating, he made a mistake and the price is $250. I was trying to explain to her what CJ and I discussed and she kept talking over me. I had to say to her, excuse me I'm talking and you keep talking over me. Then she began yelling at me calling me rude and threatening me with she could reverse the sale. It was the worst customer service and unprofessionalism at its finest. She told CJ to reverse the sale in a defensive tone and began calling me rude. I didn't have time to wait for him to put the original screen back on so I paid and left. The next day the phone had completely shut down and would not turn on. I went back to the store, requested my old screen back and a refund. I truly believe there was some type of scam for more money going on between the two of them. To add, the day of the repair he went to the back and came back to the front with boxes explaining different writing explaining each box. I told him respectfully I don't believe the screen is an OLED but a LED. I informed CJ to always inform the customer first of the changes to allow them to make a choice before replacing anything and not after. I will never recommend anyone bringing their service to that particular store because of the lady unprofessionalism she displayed. Below is the OLED screen box he claimed to use for my phone. This is the same box he told was the LED.

I'm traveling and needed my phone fixed quickly. The website showed appointments available on the 25th, so I booked one. The store was closed and nobody notified me it would be closed.

I scheduled an appointment at the Raleigh store today. They called me in the morning, and I asked them to verify that they had my screen in stock and if they'd be able to fix it within the timeframe I needed for my departure date.

When we arrived, the employee informed us that they did not have the part and they could not fix it in the initially suggested timeframe.

They indicated that between our phonecall that morning and my scheduled appointment that the screen they had available was used to fix another customers phone. They sent me to another store (but only once I asked).

I arrived at the Cary store (the one I had the initial appointment with on the 25th) and they took my phone. The employee is a poor communicator - the process was awkward and not smooth. But they had the part available and were able to fix my phone by the end of the day.

They called me later to say that because my phone was purchased in France, they were unable to continue my repair. They indicated that they needed to "revert the repair."

Indeed, the employees had already repaired my phone - replacing the screen- just to realize that Google would not accept the work order due to where I bought my phone. They were going to remove the newly installed screen and reinstall the old broken screen.

And the employee further indicated that the old re-installed screen would have more damage than when I initially brought it.

So essentially the employees did not properly dontgeir job and expected to return to me a phone in worse condition than it started in. I informed them this was unacceptable. They eventually agreed to finish the repair.

My experience with your business is unacceptable. There was not even a small apology made for the way this situation was handled. I would not recommend your service to anyone.

By the way, when I tried to send this feedback on the feedback request received by SMS, the website showed an error and I...

Extremely upset with the service and pricing of this place. First time I went there was on a recommendation of a former employee's sister who claimed they fixed her phone the first time and then DIDN'T charge her for it. I go there the next day for the same reason and I get charged $160 (for the screen and a case) I thought that was really strange, because my employer's sister raved about it and I thought the same would happen for me for the first time.

Today I go visit to get my screen fixed again and to have them look at the charging slot on my phone and see if something got jolted out of place when I dropped my phone. When the guy typed it up on the receipt which I still have both says "iphone 6: glass/lcd.. black" and the price was $190 some. I thought that was EXTREMELY high considering they didn't even fix my charging problem and I had brought it to them two days before and all the guy did was clean it out and said it was fine. I plan on going again tomorrow to see if I can get a refund or they can fix the problem and not charge me. But I'm also e-mailing the owner (or at least I hope they are the owner) because from what I read on these other review they refuse to do refunds.

Im extremely upset I got charged almost $200 just to fix my screen and the guy who helped me "showed me" it was charging. But when I come home and use 2 different charging chord and 4 different outlets it won't charge.

I'd rather just have the money back and go somewhere else to have them fix it. This place is too sketchy and the workers apparently all they know how to do is take the phone(s) and items apart and put it back together and claim it's fixed. And then they gouge you out of the amount it would cost just to get the phone replaced.

Update: I just called the customer service line and they told me they could call the store and get my phone charger fixed for free. But couldn't get a refund just because I thought I was over charged and the guy tried to explain how the LCD and Glass are two different things. So basically I was...
