I was given an X-ray even though I didn’t ask for one because I never told anyone that I had a broken bone. If I thought my bone was broken, trust me, I would have immediately gone to the emergency room. Duh! I went there for knee pain! Several people including the company who is going to pay my medical bills, said that a doctor should not just think something. They actually laughed at her notes. He said only an MRI can confirm my torn ligament. How does what the doctor thinks trumps what a patient is physically experiencing?
After this appointment, I am joining a group of patient advocates. I follow these groups on social media in which patients claim that doctors use gaslighting techniques to misdiagnose them.
This PA tried to insinuate that I lied about slipping on water. She also said well usually people who fall always complain about other things like their hip or back. Everyone, I fell directly on my left knee. Wow! Lady, it’s on camera. The employee came over to clean it up. The claims department is being extremely helpful and has already reimbursed my $100 fee. Wow! These doctors are the one’s who just got by making C’s in medical school. I am convinced!
If PA Robey gaslights you, report her. No one should pay these exorbitant fees just for her gaslighting. If they do not have the equipment to make a proper diagnosis then they should refer you not tell you what they think because it is meaningless in comparison to what you actually feel.
They just hung the phone up in my face. They could not take the truth. If they bill me, I am suing them. I literally got no help today! They discriminate against people who have pain thinking that all people of a certain kind are there for drugs. They tried to imply that I did not have a fall incident which means that I was there for drugs. Yet, the company has already agreed to pay my medical fees. Wow! They were definitely gossiping about me and they were making a mockery out of my condition.
Do not pay for medical gaslighting and medical...
Read moreI will try every other option before trying this place again. 1/26/25 I saw PA Kathryn Hodges. I came in with my chief concern being that I may have Pertussis (whooping cough). My concern was based on having a unique cough I have never experienced before (I am over 35 years old) and specifically mentioned apnea (not being able to breathe) shortly after having a coughing fit. My idea was dismissed because Pertussis is not common, and because I was vaccinated for it 9 years ago (even though the effectiveness of Tdap for Pertussis can be as low as 75-80% the first year). Even with plenty of local news reports talking about significant spikes in Pertussis cases recently.
I wanted to be tested for it anyways, and even though they don't have the test there, they WILL NOT EVEN ORDER the test for you, they just don't do it, and I was given no information for how to get tested. Afterwards I called the office more than once trying to figure out how to get tested for Pertussis, they tried, but the best they could do was to tell me to contact Wake County Health and Human Services, don't bother, your call will be sent back and forth to every department (clinic) they have, because nobody does anything with Pertussis, and they just keep guessing another one (clinic) does. I even physically went there, and confirmed, they will have nothing todo with it.
There was an opportunity here for me to get diagnosed early and get proper treatment, and not only was it completely missed, it was deliberately missed. I admit this illness is not common, but it is VERY WELL KNOWN, we have vaccines for it, we have public health warnings about it, we have antibiotics for it, this is not a mystery. Instead I missed an additional week of work, risked my life and the lives of others multiple times with all of the driving I had to do to find a test, and to find a doctor who was willing to give me a simple 1 week antibiotic that costs LESS THAN A DOLLAR before being able to confirm that I have Pertussis, which I now...
Read moreThis is my 3rd time being admitted to this clinic (various conditions) and so far, it’s been very reliable. I only expect to hop-in and leave especially when I’m in extreme discomfort but the doctors and FNP were all helpful and informative.
This last visit was a relief as I was in pain for days and was adamant to go to an ER or urgent care but I ended up going as my pain tolerance has progressed.
The good thing is I’m already in their system, they are up to date and they have some of my medical records from the primary UNC. Morgan Short, FNP was very informative, has good bedside manner and she answered all our questions without reservation. While I wasn’t expecting to be asked about my recent medical record, I thought it was nice that she did — may it be for drug interaction, I thought that was really professional. I also thought it was reassuring to know her background in women’s health. Her home remedy recommendations and prescriptions are working well as...
