Bummer. Looking for somewhere cool to go before an evening event, and decided to see Super Mario Bros for a fun throwback. Arrived about 35min before the movie (two of four people in the lobby), asked the concessions counter for two tix to Super Mario Bros (concession staff punches something into the computer), our two drinks on the counter, dippin' dots, and a large popcorn. 40min in to sitting in the theater (20mins of previews), the movie starts. One of us heads to get another drink and candy. Now 20min into the movie, a staff member comes into the theater, asking if we're the only patrons, then tells us their system doesn't show anyone having purchased tickets. Some back and forth chatting for clarification, and then they ask us to stop by the ticket counter on the way out to purchase the tickets. By now, we've been chatting for a few mins and have missed part of the movie.
We ended up leaving given that we've now missed part of the movie, the Butterfingers we just purchased we're in the process of melting when we received them, and the staff never owned a mishap on their part. For what? Two matinee tickets? Wouldn't the system show what we purchased, and thereby the staff member could relay, "Excuse me, we forgot to charge you for the tickets. I don't want to interrupt your movie, so would you mind visiting the concession counter on your way out?"
Ironically, we had decided to try a different theater today instead of heading to Century at the...
Read moreI have been to a ton of movies at a ton of theaters over the years, but I have never had such a deplorable experience as I had tonight watching Avengers Endgame at Rancho 16.
Family next to us got up 10 different times so we had to keep getting up to let them out and let them back in. If this theater would attempt to give itself a facelift and widen the rows like the newer theaters this situation could have been avoided.
Lady directly next to us showed up an hour into the movie. Had to get up again. There should be a cutoff to how late you can walk into a movie and inconvenience everyone around you.
Child in front of us wouldn't stop talking/crying. Solution: maybe have an employee roam around to different theaters and check on things.
Child's mother was taking pictures of her child during the movie with the flash.
Child's father was Snapchatting every 5 seconds and his phone screen was incredibly bright. (I eventually said something to him)
This same child in front of us eventually dumped the entire bucket of popcorn out next to us on the stairs and was playing in it.
We eventually got up and moved seats to the ones no one buys in the front.
I’ve been in this desert a long time and have watched countless movies here, but I am sad to say I will...
Read moreI live full-time in the area and have gone to this Regal before. Today was the worst ever. It was well over 100 degrees outside and there was a long line to purchase tickets BECAUSE there was only one person selling them in a room with three windows. Finally after people started complaining someone from inside came out and started selling tickets. This left the inside area unattended where you normally would hand someone your ticket. From there we went to the food area where again long lines and only 3 people working the counters that were designed for double that. The employees acted like they were in slow motion. About the time I got up to the counter they ran OUT of popcorn. How do you run out of popcorn in the movie theatre that gets its profits from popcorn and drinks? Finally a guy came running out from some backroom area with a 50 lb bag of popcorn and started working on getting it popped. By this time I was going to be late for my movie and I arrived 20 minutes early so I left the line and never purchased any snacks. Now I ask you how much did Regal lose on a family of 4 by this inadequate scheduling of employees? I will NOT go back to this theatre. I did not see a manager anywhere or anyone that was trying to fix the...
