I spent $1500 on a mattress and box spring. I bought it online and picked it up myself. Very proud of being able to do that and couldn't wait to get it home and set up. I was devastated to see that the box spring was literally cardboard. My 5 year old would have put his foot through it if he stepped on it. Which he almost did. These cardboard boxes (2x XL twin for a king bed) cost me $200 and during the selection process I got a message stating my warranty would be void if I didn't buy a base. Only to find out my warranty was void the minute I checked out because I didn't buy a mattress protector on the same order as the mattress. I didn't get a single message and there was nothing in the product overview telling me that if I didn't purchase a mattress protector on the same order as the mattress that I wouldn't be eligible for any returns or replacements. But I got that message in the info pamphlet which is available AFTER CHECKOUT was completed. The mattress is ok. Soft. The bottom side of the mattress is made out of cheap fake mesh. The kind you find as a dust barrier on old box springs. The kind you can put your fingers through if you hold it too tight. The mattress smells like a 90s week old beer fart hot boxed in a Buick Lesabre in the middle of June. I bought a king doctor's choice hybrid plush with the 9inch base invoice #491-98896 ordered 05/07/2025 picked up 05/08/2025. The gentleman at the loading dock was so kind. About 5'9 160lbs reddish hair. He helped me load and strap everything down. He is the reason I left any stars. I'm so sad I want to cry. My first ever bed. I bought it myself and worked very hard for it. I spent 3 days reviewing beds and ratings before picking one I really thought I'd like. I might like the bed. But I'm upset at how poorly made everything and how there was no notice in the production description, overview, or policies regarding the mattress protector needing to be purchased (period) and that it needs to be on the same order. This has been a pretty heartbreaking experience for me. I hope that anyone who reads this is now fully aware of at least 1 policy they don't actively disclose and can make an informed decision without the hopeless feeling I have in regards to...

But that didnāt interest us. We wanted to shop locally which we do every chance we get. After our third store, we stopped in at Denver Mattress in Rapid City. The store was due to close in 30 minutes so we thought weād take a quick look and come back tomorrow. Sam greeted us right away and really did a great job showing us what we were looking for. He didnāt rush us, he was very professional. We purchased 2 mattresses, and the warranty which came with 4 pillows of our choice and mattress protectors. Both of which we wanted for our new mattresses. He was very transparent going over the purchase contract, warranty, and set up delivery for us three days later. We couldnāt of been more pleased with our purchase and the help we got from Sam. This is our second purchase from Denver Mattress. He helped me find what I was looking for. After purchase he loaded into my vehicle and off I went. I got to my next adventure. Immediately I was unable to find my key fob. I was out was from out of town and none of the passengers had the fob either. I went back to Denver Mattress and the sales person that sold me the mattress pad helped look all over the place. No luck. Long story short, he asked me if I thoroughly look Ed the car. I said yes and he said it had to be in the car and helped me look. He found the fob and I asked how he knew it was in the car.
