We travel frequently and love eating at the Outback as often as possible. We have always had very good experiences at all locations until now. We arrived at our hotel (which sits in the same parking lot as this Outback) at 9:00 p.m. We checked in and walked over to eat at 9:15 p.m. The exterior lights had been shut off and all the blinds were closed. We thought, "What restaurant closes at 9:00 p.m.?" We walked up to the main entrance to see what the hours were. The sign said it closed at 9:30 p.m. so we walked in. We were seated with no problems and had a very nice waitress.
The second we were seated, I noticed how filthy the place was. It smelled bad and the table and booth were sticky and disgusting! Since it was so late and we were starving, we stayed anyway. Bad mistake! They seated us in the bar, which normally doesn't bother me. But there were a couple men in there who were being very loud and obnoxious. No courtesy whatsoever! Plus we had our youngest child with us and he heard things a child should not have heard.
We ordered our food, got our dinner salads and no silverware. No one was around to ask for some because they were all getting ready to go home for the night. After a few minutes, a bus boy walked by and we asked for silverware. We all asked for ranch on our salad and my child couldn't eat it because it was so spicy. 45 minutes later our food arrived. My husband ordered the salmon, ate a few bites and realized the center was RAW! Still no one was around to send it back to have it cooked. By then we had lost our appetites and were ready to leave. We waited a few more minutes for our waitress so we could pay for our meal and leave. When she finally returned, she asked if the fish was okay and felt bad when she realized it wasn't even cooked. She gave us our bill and a coupon for $5 off our next...
Read moreWe ordered steaks, a filet mignon and a ribeye. We also paid the up charge for the blue cheese pecan salads. Our appetizer the bloomin shrimp was okay although it could have been drained better as it was very greasy.
The salads were absolutely awful. It was nothing like the way they should have been. No pecans, drenched in some type of odd dressing, no chunks of blue cheese OR pecans and the lettuce was brown. Our waitress didn't ask if our salads were okay after we didnt eat them (she knew how bad they were because she made them/served them. I wouldve included a photo but this wont let me ironically). My filet mignon was not medium well (well done) and a TAD tough for a filet mignon but still okay and the ribeye was tough as hell. I dont think it was the chefs fault entirely for the ribeye but more about the quality of where they buy them from and not cooked quite right.
Our waitress just seemed snotty. I hate to say it, she seemed to be in a hurry and annoyed we were there. I tipped $10 but normally would've tipped $25. It was like 4pm. This is the second bad experience at an Outback which makes us sad because it used to be our favorite restaurant. I think we will stop going all together. If I'm going to a steakhouse I'm going to something local. This chain just can't get it right and their employees need more training (or a different career path).
We spent over $100! The quality of the food and the quality of the service was like $40. I would avoid this restaurant all together. And if your'e a manager dont contact us because the last manager didnt follow through on what he said. Thanks but no thanks....
Read moreAmazing food at a very very good price compared to many restaurants but FOR SURE compared to other steak houses and you actually get FLAVORFUL food!! If you like bland steak with no flavor, don't bother to come here. Considering a Big Mac combo meal will set you back $7+ dollars these days, for a few dollars more you can get a fantastic fresh salad with the best dressings you will ever have, another great side with a huge variety to choose from (or two sides if you don't want a salad) and a great flavorful steak!!! Why would anyone not want to do that? It's worth every penny! And you get fresh baked bread and butter as well! But it's not just their steaks that are amazing and worth every cent. They have fantastic burgers, salmon, all kind of chicken, the BEST RIBS I've ever had!!! They also have many many more items. If you can't find something here, you aren't hungry or human. Their soups are to die for too! To be fair, This location isn't always perfect when it comes to service but if ever you have any issues with your food or the service, just ask for a manager and they will usually make it right and take great care of you. This is by far my favorite restaurant anywhere in the US with the huge variety on the menu and for the price. It's not much more than fast food and yet it's my favorite steak over any other steak house restaurant with only one exception, a Ruth Chris ribeye. But even Ruth Chris could take some flavor suggestions from the outback on some items. Don't hesitate, go to any outback in the US,...
