DONT FALL FOR THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! My family and extended family all went to enjoy the day 4/12/25 in Rapid City. We started with Flags and Wheels because we didnt know how long we would spend here. Researching reviews I most commonly heard “rude employees” “bad fumes” and “dirtiness”. WRONG, WRONG, and WRONG.
‼️Rude employees: Even with young kids working every single spot we could see, they were awesome. The go cart attendant was kind and quick and speaking to people in line, while also being attentive of the drivers. He even came over and snapped a photo of me and my wife and kids without me even asking. He was AWESOME! The kid who sold us tickets was patient and was answering questions. The attendant doing the arcade was super awesome, my kids are still talking about the extra little 5 ticket toy he gave them. Those little things go a lonnnng way with kids. Did not meet one single rude person working.
‼️Fumes: We took my mother in law who is sensitive to the smell of spring water vs fresh water. The fumes did not even bother her, we waited in line, drove, waited in line and drove again over the course of about an hour being in with the go carts. The fumes are minimal for an indoor go cart. If you have seen monster trucks in an arena, the fumes are worse in that setting than this. The people saying the fumes are bad need to go back to the city. You came to an INDOOR go cart track. There will be fumes, however they do an incredible job at minimizing that. Also a separate seating area with a view is available outside the track.
‼️Cleanliness: Dont get me wrong, I would not eat my lunch off the floor here, however once again, this is an indoor extreme activity adventure park. This is not a spa. I was not expecting marble finished floors with a fresh coat of wax. However the bathrooms could use some attention, not cleaning per say, but a remodel to that portion of the building would not be bad considering a lot of waiting can be done here. Other than that, I imagine trying to keep this place clean is a nightmare and they do a great job, keeping in mind this is not the Hilton.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AT FLAGS AND WHEELS. MY KIDS AND FAMILY HAVE MEMORIES TO LAST FOREVER. WHATEVER WAS HAPPENING ON THIS...
Read moreI love it, it’s so much fun, but the lady at the front desk was super rude and looked like she hated her job. First she was straight faced, no smile, not even once. She also had no right to be mean because I said please and thank you. I work in customer service and it’s rare for customers to even think of those words. Since my boyfriend just turned 18, he wasn’t sure if he had to sign a waiver so he asked “is there a waiver i have to sign?” and she said “sign a waiver?” like we were dumb.. instead of explaining “if you’re 18 and have a drivers license you don’t need to sign a waiver”. And then my boyfriend was trying to decide if he wanted 3 tickets or 4 and he was super impatient and when he said 4, she was like “are you sure you want that many?” And then he said 3 after with the same response from her. Like yes? Are you trying to lose the company money? The last complaint that I have is the prices going up from $10 a ticket to $17 a ticket in a year. I mean, I understand the state of the economy, but it was still so much compared to last years. I hope whoever reads this knows that it’s not all the employees that act like this. When I needed help doing my helmet (it was my first time doing fast cars) they were very helpful. It was mostly just the...
Read moreLady with dirty blonde hair (overweight, and in her 50s - sorry for the description, I wish I would have gotten her name.) manning the counter was very rude. There are plenty of other people who need jobs that would gladly give better service than her. We asked her if they had military discount and she said “ya already HAVE a discount…” because we chose the value deal. That’s not how it works. We HAD a discount because we chose to pay more for the value. There’s nothing saying that if you choose the value deals you can’t use your military discount. They also advertise having bumper carts, laser tag, and go kart—and the bumper cars were completely shut down. That’s the kind of thing you warn the customer of before purchase, otherwise you’re promising them a service you don’t have.
The amount of times for each ride is also very inconsistent. At first they were doing 9 minutes for gokarts then 5. Bumper car rides ended up lasting around 15 minutes. And the wait line for go karts made it not worth it (1 hr wait in between every 5 minute go kart ride). You’ll spend more time waiting than actually riding.
The building is also very dirty...
