I brought my iPhone to Computer Village to have the battery replaced after it dropped into the 70% range. I paid in advance, as required by their store policy, and left the phone with them overnight.
The next day, I received a call from a staff member named Pete, who told me they couldn't complete the battery replacement because one of the screws was stripped. When I picked up the phone and examined it myself, I found the left screw completely stripped with visible fresh tool marks—clear signs it had been recently damaged.
I immediately called the store to ask how this had happened. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they insisted the phone was already in that condition when I brought it in. That’s simply not true. I purchased this phone brand new and have never had it opened or worked on before this visit. There’s no way that kind of damage existed beforehand.
The staff at Computer Village refused to take any responsibility for the damage they caused, leaving me with a phone they not only didn’t fix, but actually made worse. I've attached a photo you can judge for yourself.
I cannot recommend this place. If you care about your device,...
Read moreI have been an apple owner for a long time. I recently took my laptop in for repair because of several issues. Upon picking it up, I had questions about the billing statement. The owner jumped into the conversation and was rude and disrespectful. When I would not accept his answer he stormed off into the back. Needless to say, my computer problems have not been fixed. After a $130+ bench fee, my computer is still having the same issues. The negative reviews are correct. I am sure if this was a Computer Village bought laptop, I would have been treated better. I for one judge a store by the owner's behavior and in this case, I will never go into that establishment again. I highly caution any Apple user to seek repairs elsewhere. If your seek rude treatment, poor customer service, and a hostile shopping experience, then this is your Apple repair shop. Apple if you are reading this, you should revoke your authorized dealer status from Computer Village. They are...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer since the early 90's, purchased 6 mac's from Computer Village. Service/Help has always been a bit challenged but I was always able to make it work eventually. Until yesterday. I had a quick question on the mail program, stopped by to get some help. Only to be told I needed to take a class to learn how to use the program and it would cost me $30.00, I have used mail for years, I know how to use the program. I had one setting wrong a needed a little help. I did not find this to be good customer service. I later figured it out and it took less than 3 minutes to fix it. Like I said, I WAS a loyal customer. Not anymore, Computer Village you are not the only game in...
