The lost cabin brewery is truly my fave.

A Hidden Gem in Rapid City – Lost Cabin Beer Co. As a seasoned craft beer enthusiast, it's rare to stumble upon a brewery that not only exceeds all expectations but also leaves a lasting impression with its distinctive brews and welcoming atmosphere. Lost Cabin Beer Co. in Rapid City, SD, is precisely that—a haven for beer lovers and a beacon of community spirit. From the moment you walk into Lost Cabin, you're transported into a world that feels both rustic and inviting, with a warm, cabin-style decor that resonates with the natural beauty of the Black Hills. The staff here are not just employees; they are curators of your experience, knowledgeable and passionate about each pour, making every visit uniquely enlightening. Now, let's talk beer. The Bruce Banner, in particular, is a revelation—a robust ale that perfectly balances hop intensity with a malty backbone, creating a flavor profile that is both bold and harmonious. It's the kind of beer that commands your attention at first sip, complex yet utterly drinkable, a true testament to the brewers' artistry and dedication. But what truly sets Lost Cabin apart is its dog-friendly atmosphere. As a dog owner, nothing beats the joy of sharing a day out with your furry companion, especially in a place that treats them as honored guests. Here, dogs are welcomed with the same warmth and enthusiasm as their owners, complete with water bowls and plenty of pats from the friendly staff.Lost Cabin doesn't just make beer; they forge community ties through events, support for local causes, and a genuine commitment to sustainability. Each visit feels like a gathering of friends, where new faces are welcomed into the fold with...

Yüng Jesse is a great bartender with knowledge about the beer that truly helped me learn more! I love every single one of the brews Cyril has crafted so lovingly. I tried every one of the beers and they’re so delicious! There’s a little of something for everyone. Dark, light, sour, and apparently also have Delta 9 drinks too. I didn’t try them but the bartender said they’re also popular. There is no food here but they have bags of chips and popcorn.

I highly recommend a flight if you enjoy trying different things. If you like darker beers, the Lord Grizzly (scotch ale), Chuckulator (doppelbock), and Buzzards roost (black IPA). If you like light beers the BEER (lager), woodshop #17 Jasmine (Jasmine Tea Rice lager) and Cabana (dry hopped Mexican lager) are top picks for sure. Sour, can’t go wrong with the electric taco truck and the Juithy Sour Milkshake IPA (sour IPA) are excellent! They’re the only brewery in the area with a true fodder and they know what they’re doing.

Please do yourself a favor and try this place out. New beer people, experienced ones, this is the place to go in Rapid City!

Thank you guys for your kindness and...

Great variety of beer for everyone to find something they enjoy. I love bringing my dog here to hang out for a few hours. The demographic that visits this place is broad, so you're bound to find someone to chat with. And they have something no one else does-- plenty of space outside to take your dog on a bathroom break in between beers.

Edit: I have been back a few times and still enjoy the crowd and the atmosphere. With that being said, I've edited my rating from 5 stars to 3 because some of the bartenders have been less that hospitable. When talking to one in particular (don't want to point fingers but it is a woman), her response is consistently short, without eye contact and snide. Typically, a bad experience doesn't deter me from going somewhere but I've had more than a few and don't think I'll return. In my experience, unless you're a regular you don't get the welcome that you should...

Lost Cabin has excellent beers and a chill, relaxed atmosphere. There’s tons of indoor seating, outdoor seating is limited but the view of M Hill is quite nice. The bathrooms are in immaculate condition, obviously that’s important while at a brewery due to frequently needing it! The staff are wonderful and knowledgeable about their products. The entire place is dog friendly which is a huge bonus because who doesn’t love petting floofs and having conversations with their humans?! They also take Apple Pay (I live in the UK currently and have noticed not many places in the US are caught up with that technology.) I’ve been here twice in the past week. 13/10 amazing place.
