Wow, this store has drastically changed—and for the better! Let me tell you something, walking into the Redwood City Savers thrift store today feels like stepping into an entirely new world compared to what it used to be. Gone are the chaotic days of clutter and disorganization. The store is now spotless, well-maintained, and running smoother than I ever could have imagined during my time as an employee.
Let’s get one thing straight: the environment has truly transformed since they got rid of one of its front end managers. It's like a toxic cloud has been lifted, and in its place is a fresh, clean, and inviting atmosphere. The aisles are neat, the shelves are stocked just right, and everything—I mean everything—just looks and feels better.
Now, let’s talk about the MVPs of this new era: Leslie and Danny. Leslie, the front-end supervisor, is absolutely incredible. She’s cool, professional, and the kind of person you actually want to interact with when you’re shopping. Friendly, helpful, and on top of her game—she’s the type of leader this store always needed. And Danny? Same story. This guy’s got the charisma, professionalism, and work ethic that makes the whole shopping experience a breeze. Together, they’re the dynamic duo this store deserves.
Here’s the thing: I wish the management running the show now was around back when I worked there. If they had been, maybe my time as an employee would’ve been a lot more enjoyable. It’s refreshing to see a team that actually cares about the store, the customers, and the employees. This is the standard every thrift store should aim for.
So, hats off to the new management and the amazing team. The Redwood City Savers thrift store has officially leveled up. If you haven’t been here in a while, trust me—you’re in for a...

One of my scores were a pair of timeless chocolate brown calfskin Ferragamo women's loafers for $7.99 that were newly re-heeled/re-soled.

Staff is friendly. Has changing rooms. Two floors. Sometimes you do find stuff that has original tags, never been worn or used. Have to come in with an open mind and not have narrow or exact wish list. All the brands that you find at the mall are here. It's amazing what people...
Read moreThe pricing of many things are completely out of touch with 1. the kind of store this is 2. the quality of items. It would be quite comical if not so outrageous and disrespectful to it's customers at the end. So for instance you want to buy some old nasty crockpot that might not work at all, or any type of way overpriced kitchen stuff, please come down waste your money at Savers OR, smarter choice, go to Walmart/Target where you can get same item for same price, fully functioning and returnable. One might even want to try The Dollar tree where some of the items comes from and are at least 1/2 the price, brand new again 😉. I really wonder what is the business model of Savers, maybe it's one where the actually want to hold one to their "treasures" instead of selling them? I also highly question the managers in there, these people seem to know nothing about the stuff they sell, the brands & quality of items & pricing. It's almost laughable. At this rate, these Savers are just going to go out of business because Amazon has unfortunately better pricing as well, lol. This store doesn't even...
