Buddhas and Beads — Attraction in Rehoboth Beach

There is so much personality packed into this tiny shop and I had the most incredible time here!! I visited with a friend of mine for the first time last week. She got to explore all the unusual cabinets to her heart's content, and I was able to fangirl over loose faceted stones in the counter display!! The men working there were super accommodating and made easy conversation with everyone. I came back the very next day for more. I was there for over an HOUR just deliberating between gemstones and these guys weathered my rampant enthusiasm like total champs. When the young guy is there and I have gold or silver to sell I get a fair price. When the older guy ( the owner) is there, he always low balls me.I told him that I have a ring that was appraised at 18000 dollars. He told me that appraisals don't mean anything and he would probably give me 400 for it. First of all appraisals mean alot, second of all, if anyone offered me 400 for it, I'd say " if I want get robbed I'd stand in the middle of a bad neighborhood and wait for it to happen ". I was excited to visit this store while we were on vacation. However, they have the most unfriendly man working there. First, there was a sign on the door that said they would be back in 15 minutes. Upon his return, he removed the sign and glared at us as we entered the store. He never said a word and the vibe I got from him was he wanted us to leave. I purchased nothing there and will never go back again. We ended up purchasing stones and crystals at another very nice store...
