Chocolate Wave is a must-see for anyone visiting Rehoboth, and without a doubt serves the best chocolate that I have ever tasted. I have traveled up and down the east coast, visiting chocolate stores along the way; quite surprisingly, the chocolates shops in cities like New York and Philadelphia can’t compare to Chocolate Wave. For context, Chocolate Wave is a small chocolate store, owned by a couple. The store is nestled in the heart of Rehoboth, and sells chocolates from A to Z. The establishment sells unique creations, like hand painted bonbons and chocolates inspired by Rehoboth Beach, like their Rehoboth Beach chocolate bar, filled with caramel and marshmallow. Additionally, they sell countless staples, like molasses paddles, chocolate marzipans, cherry cordials, and more. Lastly, I would like to talk about my personal experience at Chocolate Wave. For starters, the proprietor is very nice, helpful, and offers free samples. Price wise, the chocolates aren’t cheap, but also not overly expensive. Some of my favorites chocolates that I bought were: - The Dubai Chocolates Bars (very crunchy and overall delicious). - The bonbons (my favorites were the ones filled with a liquid, like the orange bonbon. These were very delicious, with the orange and coffee-marshmallow being the best). - Molasses Paddle (similar to the ones I’ve had in the past; very sweet with a lovely dark molasses flavor). - Chocolate Clusters (chocolate with toppings scattered throughout, like nuts and dried fruits. These are nice for snacking). -Custom Chocolate Bark I got many other chocolates as well, most of which were delicious. Not only that, but they offer a program where you can create your very own chocolate bark/bar, adding endless toppings for free! I got two dark chocolate bars, one with cherries, cranberries, and chili flakes, and one with orange, ginger, and hazelnuts. The toppings are free and the chocolate is made quick! For such a low price, it's certainly one of the best things they offer. Overall, I would give Chocolate Wave a 10/10! (This was my 2nd summer visiting them and I’m already looking forward to next year!). *Pictures show the custom “make your own chocolate bark,” a pecan paw, a dark chocolate Dubai chocolate bar, and two bonbons (lemon mint and coffee-marshmallow).

CHOCOLATE WAVE - 💯 YES I confess I’m a fan of the US Hershey’s Almond and the UK Yorkie, but, when it comes to fine chocolate, I’m finicky, particular, and, yes, snobbish even So: Chocolate Wave❓SUPERIOR‼️ I was gifted three pieces last week as a thank you. And thought: ok, I’ll go in and get three more I got 10 Plus a chocolate-covered strawberry the size of a newborn’s fist - and the ripest, sweetest perfection I can’t rave enough. Ticks ALL the boxes for me Plus, Carmen, one of the owners is a charm, charmer, and great persuader as the pics show Oh and: those chocolates are hand-painted to boot Add to that the huge peanut butter cup, preferably in dark chocolate and she has milk, too, for the milder mannered. They mix the peanut butter IN the chocolate and it still gets a layer of a special peanut butter filling

I came specifically to Rehoboth Beach to visit this chocolate shop, instantly walking in the shop I was greeted by Carmen and was blown away by all of the different selections. I purchased custom candy apples (The last two at that) chocolate covered cookies lemon and milk chocolate, pecan clusters, chocolate covered pretzels and cookies and cream bark. I wish I would’ve had the time to create a custom bark but I will definitely be back to visit again to make one. Carmen even offered to keep the chocolate treats in the shop so they wouldn’t melt in the heat which gave me a chance to buy more treats. If you have a chance and you are in the area, stop by you won’t regret it! Can’t wait to visit again!

I will stop at Chocolate Wave anytime I come to Rehoboth Beach! Often, multiple times on the same trip because they are so good. It is a tiny shop right off the main drag. Totally worth a visit. The bonbons are both delicious and beautiful. They use quality chocolate here that has that great snap to it. I like the Atlantic salt and peanut butter bonbons, but there are a variety of them, including some seasonal ones. I've yet to be disappointed. Other than bonbons, I'd recommend the pistachio and Rehoboth beach bars, and also the chocolate-covered caramel marshmallow. The shop owner is very friendly and can tell you anything you want to know about the chocolates. Brace yourself as you will not be paying Hershey's prices, and it can add up quickly, but it is worth it. The chocolates here would also make great gifts. They are open during the off-season, which is always nice. Give Chocolate Wave a visit next time you...
