Hemming Village — Attraction in Rexburg

My friend and his wife had just been threatened by the owner Mr. Hemmings himself in the condition of taking down his review or he will be vacated contract or not.

He currently is given 2 weeks to vacate and find a place to live without even being properly evicted.

As a friend and a firm supporter of rights as renters I feel obligated to repost his review verbatim.

“ Hello friends. I am in need of help. Currently I am having issues with one of the worst managements in Rexburg by the name of Hemming Village because of problems they have been causing for me and my wife in the past few months.

Management never told us the move in date till we finally went to their office and turns out it was the next day. Didn't even bother to give us a call, notice or anything.

Previous tenant took one of the keys with them and was supposed to send it back. Turns out they never did so management just created a new key. Which means someone out there has a spare key to our apartment... Shouldn't they just change the entire lock??

We asked a renewal for our contract back in the end of April. They never responded. Today they send me an message saying that we are scheduled for checkout at the end of this month. WTF? We even confirmed with them that they indeed received this email back in April. From what I could tell over the phone is that they already sold our contract to someone. They said they are going to fix this but enough is enough with this management. This is the most unprofessional group of people I have ever worked with here in Rexburg. I want to file a complaint or at least report this to someone that could help in this town. I had some suggestions to go to the housing department in the court house. The Cedars Heights Apartments at Hemming Village are the nicest apartments in town. The modern, sleek design and furnishings are a game changer for Rexburg, making home feel more like, well, home. Not to mention, they're right above awesome businesses like Five Guys, Righteous Slice, and NAVEX Global. The street views from the apartments and lounges are unbeatable, especially during Hemming's fun events.

Management is always sure to take care of their tenants! Our brand new apartment had some maintenance issues, and Cami prorated our rent while they were fixed. Highly recommend...
