I stayed here in January during a rather cold spell. Cold spell? In Rexburg? In January? Yes. ;-) The apartment was warm, clean, and easy to get to. The cost was less than staying in a hotel. The area is fairly well lit at night when walking from your car to your apartment. There are plenty of windows for natural lighting. Most of the lights inside also have a dimmer switch on them. No cats are allowed as guests here, and that was very nice. I like cats, but my allergies do not.
The beds are king-sized and are slightly higher than normal, but are not difficult to get into. They are a bit on the firm side, but I found them to be comfortable. There are twin mattresses beneath the beds--one in each room--should you need to have sleeping arrangements for 6 people.
5 has a gas stove/oven, a washer and dryer, and a dish washer in the apartment. I procured my own laundry soap, but the apartment came with some toilet paper and paper towels to begin with, along with liquid dish soap for hand washing and a few dishwasher pods. There was plenty of liquid hand soap in by both the bathroom and kitchen sinks.
Trains do run right behind #5 around three times a day, but it wasn't a problem. You can hear (and sometimes feel) them passing. They are short, though--maybe made up of 7 cars at the most. Do listen and watch for them when driving, as one of the crossing has warning lights and the other around the corner does not.
As for places to go, Broulim's Grocery store is an easy drive from The Raspberry Garden. Albertson's and Walmart are farther away. If you are going to visit BYU-I's campus, it is around the corner and about one mile up the street.
G's Creamery is near the southern edge of Rexburg, but if you enjoy rich ice cream, don't pass up going there. Reed's Dairy is not in town, but look for their half-gallons of chocolate milk in the local stores and enjoy!
I hope to return to The Raspberry Garden Luxury Hotel and Suites again, as it was a wonderful place to stay and Lyn was a great host...
Read moreThe Raspberry Garden was a wonderful choice for our stay and we will gladly do it again! We had Room #3 with two king size beds, two twins available, a large wonderful shower, and the kitchen, washer & dryer, living & dining room. The price was also incredibly good when you look at what is being offered compared to what is being advertised in the area. Everything is expensive!! And I'm not a fan of Air B&B. So this place was a great choice for us.
The place was super clean! And I loved that it has cups, silverware, and plates for you to use. The beds were comfy as all get out, and the TV comes with a Roku stick all set up. All you have to do is log into your streaming accounts and you can watch. (DONT FORGET TO LOG OUT). Plenty of towels and toilet paper, so you don't have to worry about someone coming to restock throughout the day.
The check in process is online and very simple. And checking out is even easier! If you're not a fan of talking with people, this is the place, as it is all online. But if you do like talking to folks, I suggest using the many different coupons and free samples they give you! Free chocolates, free Denny grand slam, free entry for one at the water park, and there were a few more.
I also need to mention there are some nice restaurants in the area! We went to Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian Style food because they were open late, (we got in at about 8:30pm), and it was a fantastic choice! There are a lot of restaurants that close at 9pm, so if you get in sooner, try them out! They have a wide variety near the apartments.
Overall, me and my family, (total of five of us), truly enjoyed having a comfy place to rest after running around Idaho. I believe in the future, I will be looking for this place again...
Read moreTERRIBLE SERVICE! My sister and law was trying to rent out this place for August 16-18th to visit with some family. On the listing on Airbnb it said it can hold 6 people. Which there were exactly 6 of us. After booking on of the suites, she was told by the owner that it can only hold 4 people, in which, my sister in law had to book another suite. I was listening while my sister in law was on the phone with the owner while she was booking the suite, in which she said to book on AUGUST 16-18. All that the owner said to that was, “ Okay, your stay for the 16th-18th is booked” she did not say anything about it being July. My sister in law didn’t see the confirmation email until the 18th that the manager booked for July 16-18! She contacted the manager and told her she got our reservation wrong when she CLEARLY said August 16-18 TO THE MANAGER PERSONALLY on the phone, again while I was there listening to their conversation!! The manager REFUSED to work with my sister in law by having that money she used for that booking go towards the dates we wanted for the suite, to which the owner said no. At that point my sister in law wanted a whole refund for both suites, the manager again refused to refund for their (the managers) personal mistake on dates. My sister in law will not be refunded the 700+ dollars because of the managers mistake, not hers! The first thing you should know about service, is CLARIFYING THE DATE when you are on the phone with someone booking and not merely saying the 16-18th are booked. If you book with this place make sure you have plenty of witnesses with you while doing so or recording it when you call so then the manager can’t hide from not taking responsibility of...
