Downtown Apothecary — Attraction in Riverside

I adore the Apothecary in Sedona and when I saw this location while wandering Downtown I knew I had to stop in. It’s been way too long since I’ve blighted some new soaps. The store was bright and as always smelled amazing. I was greeted instantly and started chatting with the employee working. She shared some favorites of hers with me and after a little bit I settled on some soap, a perfume oil as well as some new body butter. I’ve bought their bath bombs in the past, but this time I stuck to my favorite items. I did try a new scent today called the Queens Garden. Which is one of the scents the employee I talked to said she loved. It smells divine. I don’t care for super strong florals and it’s is great for me. I bought it in the oil as well. I purchase a lot of oatmeal soaps etc from other local shops at home, but I went home with Love Notes this time. Just when I thought the service was already great she even added a little soap sample to my bag. I really appreciate that. The prices here to me are fair for the work that goes into these items. Great stop....

i happened upon this shop by chance and was charmed. i joked with my friend that it was “goth lush”. i don’t know if their inventory is always a little gothic or whether they were heavily featuring halloween products, but i was into it. i got a graveyard themed soap. :)

i think the product displays outside the main floor area could have been organized better. they were a little overwhelming. i also wish they’d had testers out for the solid lotions and other products.

the helpful staff person offered assistance, but wasn’t pushy or pesty. i wish i was closer; i’d definitely...

Really cute place, great staff. They have something for everyone and everything. Even my dad likes going in. Each soap is unique. Nicely organized. The staff is very attentive to questions and helping you find the right products. Fairly priced, considering everything is hand made with intricate attention to detail. (Ask about their process, it's very long and complicated.)

Fair Warning: if you're sensitive to scents and/or headache prone, they DO have non-scented items but the store itself (smells lovely) can give you a headache if you are...
