Michaels — Attraction in Robinson Township

I had made a purchase of the cricket Explorer air 3 and picked it up at the store last night opened it this morning all to realize that I actually purchased the wrong item I wanted the maker 3 which is the more expensive more versatile product.

Called Michael's to make sure I can make that return as I did open the product but I had never used it never even plugged it in, you could tell this by the condition of the Box and the cricket machine itself within the packaging . Corporate said Yup just take it back with the original's receipt and you should get an instant refund so I then went on line purchased the maker 3 for in store pick up when I got to the store to do the return the manager was refusing to return saying the seal was broken on the Box and it is their policy that they cannot return a cricket with a broken seal.

I got corporate back on the phone as they told me something completely different and they reassured me that yes it is their policy that they can make that return just as long as the product is in the original package and is within 60 days of the purchase date meanwhile it had only been maybe 10 hours since I've made this purchase.

The manager was still refusing the return I put her on the phone with corporate they said yes go ahead and make the return she still refused after standing in front of the store for 45 minutes trying to deal withthis. I realized this manager really didn't know what she was doing and they have no customer service policy in place. Atleast, one that this manager was trained on.

Corporate has escalated this to upper Management and they are forcing the in store return so I now have to wait for this to go through so that I can return this product to the store as their policy states I can do.. what a nightmare...exhale

And I went ahead and returned the maker 3 that I had purchased for in store pick up, as I no longer want to deal with this location of this is how they treat your...

I used to work for Michaels. Seen one, seen them all. They have a great selection of holiday items and seasonal decorations. Great for general supplies and definitely more reasonably priced than Hobby Lobby. They also have some really great deals on a regular basis. Bogo canvases, or frames, or anything. Surprisingly this store had a lot of fabric and very little yarn. When I worked for Michaels they had pushed out fabric because their sister store, Joanne's, specialized in fabric. I'm a yarn worker, I crochet and knit, so I typically choose Michaels of Joanne's because I'm looking for a good yarn selection. There was a very small selection of yarn , and not enough of any skeins I would need to make an adult sized blanket. Michael's bought Pat Catan's 3 years ago and has closed them now. The staff at Michael's...no matter which location... can not make a patch on the a$$ of the old Catan's staff as far as product and craft knowledge goes. Here's one example: I needed a couple of Copic alcohol markers and couldn't remember if it was JoAnn or Michael's that carried them. So I called this Michael's location and spoke to Trish, who told me they didn't have them at the store. I decided to check myself because I really don't think she knew what they were.
