This place used to be really nice back when it opened 10 years ago. We just recently stopped by when we made the journey out east to visit some friends in Rockwall.
The place is horribly run down. There is trash scattered about throughout and bird poop EVERYWHERE - see all the white spots in the attached photos. The entire property is a public restroom for the bird population in Rockwall.
There are a ton of vacancies and all of the nice restaurants are gone. It really feels run down and more like Mesquite, TX than Rockwall.
All that is left of any value is Gloria’s and Dodie’s. Decent places, but just average chains with cheap dishes. And while The Gloria’s is decent I would much rather go to the Gloria’s in our neck of the woods in Frisco or Addison.

There is a ton of people here in the summer and there's always something interesting going on. You have people performing for tips or going on the party barges, eating out or playing in the fountains with the wee ones.
The fountains are beautiful and the people are friendly. The outside seating is nice if you can stand the heat in the summer and often you can hear the different places playing their own music which is cool.
If you show up at night in the summer though, you will see rats and american roaches scuttling about along with other typical summer-night critters. I admit after I saw that, I stopped ordering food there but I still enjoy it during the winter and fall when there are less of those...

There is cruises you can take for about 35-45$ each person to go around the lake, you must have a reservation. Plenty variety of restaurants, ice creams. You can go and have a nice picnic looking at the sunset, it is such a nice spot. Wish I known this place...
