Where do I begin? At first I was sold on the idea that the dress I wanted was already made just needed some fitting and would get to me on time. My first fitting, I needed it altered and was promised it would be done within 2 weeks, simple adjustment. I called prior to going since it was a far drive and the owner said it was ready (it was not). We ended up shopping at Devon because she said she could get her tailor to do a quick job. It still wasn’t right so we were told to come back after a few days. We go in 2 weeks later she forgot who I was. It’s okay, people have customers and can forget faces. I give people the benefit of the doubt. The alteration was done poorly but I didn’t want to stress out on my wedding dress since I was concerned with other parts of the wedding and said it’s doable. I was promised the can can of the dress for the bottoms since the dress was not floor length on me and I would be wearing heels. I called every week and every week after I picked up the dress, it was delayed. Every week the owner played it off as the shipment hasn’t come in. With Covid I understood that that’s an issue with orders but every single week it’s as if the owner forgot. Horrible business practices. Two WEEKS before my wedding she said it was ready, but the amount of times I drove to Devon I told my friend to pick up the can can in case the owner wasted my time again. I said even if the can can is late, I have my dress. She picks up the can can it is a size XXS, 18 inch waist. Who’s that tiny? I had an aunt of mine adjust my dress the day of my wedding and I couldn’t have had a worse experience. If I didn’t have my aunt I would have walked with a short dress on me. There are other places that have nicer, more affordable dresses that they make to your size, I prefer making the trip to Pakistan to get the same dresses way cheaper and made to size. I would avoid Jazmin...
Read moreCame from NJ to Chicago to find a bridal outfit and was recommended by a friend to check out jasmine bridal! I ended up buying both my nikkah and walima bridal outfits from them. Shazia aunty and Kainat were both so helpful and kind the entire process. If youve got a larger bust, you know how brutal (rude) desi shops can be, but I had nothing short of a great experience here. I was short on time to have an outfit made but the tailor , azeem uncle worked literal MAGIC to turn my dresses from a size 40 to a size 44! They fixed the waist, the bust+bust line. Everything. I was so nervous but the fitting is absolutely perfect for both outfits and you can’t even tell they added fabric. They fixed the embroidery to match for continuity. The outfits are both the best quality. I bought another two dresses to be custom made for my sisters wedding as well and I know they will both be great. Thanks team!
Also- as with any bridal outfit - stay on top of them to make sure it’ll be ready in time! I think everyone knows the practice of giving a False date you need your outfit by. So if you know you need your...
Read moreThis review is long overdue, but I couldn’t go without giving a huge shoutout to Nida for absolutely going above and beyond during my Eid shopping experience. From the moment I walked in, she was professional, kind, incredibly knowledgeable about the inventory, and somehow knew exactly what I was looking for—even before I did.
I had her running around like crazy (bless her patience!)—I was shopping for a friend over FaceTime, and Nida still managed to find her the perfect suit. On top of that, she helped me pick out an outfit for my mom, got both suits tailored flawlessly, and ensured everything was ready well before Eid. From start to finish, she handled everything with care and precision.
Jasmine Bridal is hands down my go-to spot on Devon. I never leave empty-handed. The owner is also a total sweetheart and has an incredible eye for beautiful, high-quality pieces. The selection is stunning, prices are reasonable, and the service is unmatched.
If you’re looking for Desi wear or tailoring that’s on point, look no further. Thank you again, Nida, for making the entire experience...
