Petland Rogers 🐶 — Attraction in Rogers

I’ll make this as clear and concise as possible. Firstly, there is a sign at the front of the store that says two dog treats for one dollar. I bought two dog treats thinking it would be a dollar. My receipt says two treats for $2.

Secondly, I left a review for the Fayetteville location months ago when I wrongly and unknowingly was signed up for a Petland credit card without my approval. I went to go look at a puppy and did not end up buying one, but submitted a preapproval application to see how much I would be approved for IF I did want to consider getting a puppy. I ended up somehow with a Petland credit card that I did not ask for and a hard inquiry on my credit. It seems like multiple other people have had this issue. I ended up being contacted by somebody, I think the owner, from Petland and they asked me to remove my review. I did because the conversation went well.

Fast forward, maybe a little less than a year after all of this happened, and I go to buy something from Petland Rogers because I received an email telling me that I had to make a purchase or else my line would be closed. Keep in mind, I never once asked or was told about a Petland credit card to begin with. I was NEVER told that I would be submitting a credit application for a Petland credit card. When I ended up calling the sales representative who went through the process with me he told me it was in the fine print. I was supposed to only be applying to see what my preapproval rate would be if I wanted to take out a loan on a dog, which I didn’t end up doing.

So I go to Petland Rogers to buy a dog leash so my credit line that I never asked for doesn’t close so it doesn’t hurt my credit. The lady who helped me at the counter gave me the impression that I did not have a Petland account and that people who have a Petland account usually get a dog through them, which would explain why I was incorrectly somehow, I don’t know how, given a Petland credit card.

The process is long to check out and I had to sign papers for a dog leash somehow? Who needs to sign papers when buying a dog leash at a pet store?

Whenever I swipe my Petland credit card, it seems like the cashier lady was having a lot of problems with her system. This leaves me to believe that because I never actually submitted an application for a Petland credit card in the first place, she wasn’t able to run the transaction properly because I never had an account because I never asked for one. This was my first time trying to use my Petland credit card.

And as a sidenote, because I’m feeling petty, honestly, if you do not use a Petland credit card and instead use a regular credit or debit card when paying for something they charge you the processing fee of 3.5% which they could easily pay for themselves like every other business.

Which also brings me to the fact that whenever I called Petland Corporate office to ask about when my physical credit card would be delivered, it turns out they didn’t even have an address for me. This is because I never actually submitted an application and I never gave my address to anybody. Which means I in fact, did not sign up for a credit card even if it was in the fine print like the salesman told me because they didn’t even have a way to ship the card to me because they didn’t have a delivery address for me.

I removed my review the first time, but this is not the first time that I’ve had a negative experience at both of our local Petland locations. I feel like everybody should know about this.

I am greatly disappointed at the systems and the staff at both Petland locations. I refuse to go to the Fayetteville location because of the negative experience I had with their salesman. And the only reason why I went today was because I needed to make a purchase on the card or else my account would be closed. And it turns out I didn’t even get the discount on the treats that was on the sign at the front of the store… Very disappointing and honestly I’m not interested in somebody calling to “make things right”. Hi im Raúl and i thought everyone should know my story about petland. 1. They dont tell you the whole truth. They try to keep you on there side by telling you all the nice things and perks they offer like a payment plan, health care for the dog, and how full bred there puppies are.. 2. Let me Clarify; for all the up in coming customers that would want to do business there. The payment plans have an interest rate of 26.7% which in turn you pay double the cost of the puppy with the time allowed for the dogs payments, if you cant pay it off within the 6 months they are also over priced. The health care insurance that, they tell you about only covers the first visit to the veterinarian fully so the rest that is left to be Reimbursed within 3 to 4 weeks for the 5 year coverage they brag about and they dont cover the remainding booster after the puppy has left the building. So yes they are full bred but they dont tell you that they are mass Breeding them to make more money... 3. The best part is, the Zero return policy they have but due to the Negligence and money hungry the "ownes" are because they are privately owned. Well in my case they forgot to explain and go thru details on the loan that i didnt sign cause if i would have known the interest rate was that high i would not have taken the dog. So yes i took the dog without Technically paying for him. THE ONLY REASON i figured all this out was because i was trying to make a payment. I went back to talk to them and see if they could help me with a better deal now that i understood all the facts. They said no and to give them the dog back. Thats not my fault that they let me walkout of there without paying for the dog i did them a service and the offer that they tried to approach me with was like a slap in the face thats when i actually got offended so i told them that i would not sign and they can take the dog if they wouldnt offer me a better deal... And so they said to give the dog back with everything they gave me for "free" and i was breaking the rules but they also break there own rules by taking back the dog back.. Yes right now i am losing sleep wounding what happened to my poor little puppy and if the other puppies there were safe because the dog was with me for 3 days and to be 100% honest you never really know where dogs get into when your not watching them even if you do the best you can, i walked him and took him outside to potty in the back yard. Also after the vet visit she told me he was one of the good one but he was missing 2 more booters. I hope people will speck up or learn from my mistakes and push for more information.. That is not right to do to people or they the puppies and yes the "owners" also own the location in Jopin MO.. i dont know if all the other petland are the same way but i did learn that two locations are owned by this people that are trash.. I say that because i Tried multiple ways to get a hold of them and the manager kept telling me that when they get free they would give me call back... well there is alot more to my store but im going to leave...

This place doesn’t care about anything else except profit. Had a puppy that was 10 pounds underweight and had Giardia the first time I had took her to the vet to get tested they say they pay for the first vet visit that’s only to lure you in they only reimburse a very small bit and the very small chump change of the vet bill takes 5 weeks to get reimbursed on wow!! Plus The dog didn’t have all of her shots updated and barely any paperwork on the puppy at all. Then to top it off they lie about the prices and don’t ever finance a puppy here because signed a document for 2856.78$ the interest rate on that loan was 24%!! then me thinking oh okay i signed a loan for 2856.78$ thats the only loan ive gotta pay for the dog . and then they back door me and they send me a credit card I didnt even sign for with well over 5300$ on it with 36% interest mind you I have a 760 credit score how!! so the dog really cost 7000$ wayyyy overpriced for a rottweiler at any regular breeder theyd go for 2500-3000$. on top of the fact they tell you that the cage, leash, and dog bed etc all come with the puppy for free but its really all put on a credit card with high interest!! Do not come to this store it needs shut down if this is how you’re gonna do customers and the puppies! These people need to get gone! Do not mess with any Petland stores! If I dont end up getting any support i will be filing a lawsuit this is inhumane. they tell you to put a claim in to "solutions.pet" and then they take forever to get back with you on everything poor customer service! If I could rate this place zero stars I would my experience with them has been god awful! I guess me and the other 30+ people on here saying the same thing are “fear mongering” you guys are ridiculous and they absolutely was added onto either the loan with high interest or the credit card it says it on the receipt. Which btw I didn’t even receive the day I purchased the puppy I had to get it e sent to me. Point still stands I haven’t even been reimbursed for the vet bills that’s in your “warranty” a business full of clowns. Just hope this stuff catches up to you! Doing poor business practices. And if these dogs were given the best of care they wouldn’t be sold sick and they also would have all there shots up to date! I had to get several of her shots updated! The vet even said “the pet store treated her for Giardia in February but I suspect they didn’t do a long enough course of medication or they didn’t do the proper sanitation procedures to prevent reinfecting herself!” So you indeed did sell me a sick puppy! Don’t tell me you guys treat them well! It’s disgusting the whole place. You guys will get your karma for screwing people over! As goes for the reviews this is my personal true review which in fact is true if you think all these “benefits” you guys give makes the puppy worth 2-3x more than the regular price of a puppy from amazing breeders you’re high! And still are having trouble keeping up with these...
