I called 5-6 times during normal hours and no one ever answered. A game I was looking for was only in stock here and wasnât even offered at the other big retailers so I decided to take the 30 minute drive and see if they were open and just extremely busy with other customers.
I got there and opened the front door and saw absolutely no one; staff included. I thought maybe they were in the back so I waited and then could hear someone having a detailed conversation on the phone.
I go over to the register and there is a GameStop employee, Quincy, sitting on the floor with both earbuds in his ears having a conversation you shouldnât be having while working.
Clearly he didnât hear me come in and he was just ignoring the phone calls to GameStop so he could have his in depth personal conversation that I shouldnât of had to hear as a customer in a business.
I sat there for a minute or two just staring at him and finally said âHey! Can I get a gameâ?
He was shocked to see me standing there and his attitude and look on his face told me he wasnât expecting any customers to be walking in the door.
He wasnât friendly, not rude, but definitely not friendly and not an experience I enjoyed.
He almost gave me a used copy of a game without the DLC when I specifically asked for the ultimate edition which included DLC.
GameStops website was incorrect about the goodies included in the ultimate edition of Cuberpunk 2077. It says it included a steelbook and a few other goodies and these were not provided to me. I actually went back into the store after purchasing and showed him my phone of the missing items. Quincy stated that all those items were inside the game which was a straight lie because the game wasnât a steelbook itself but your classic plastic case.
I did some research online and found out that the Deluxe edition has these items so GameStop just copy and pasted the description of the ultimate edition from somewhere else. Misleading and lying about a product.
I asked about buying a second game and he quoted me the price for the GameStop Pro membership and he said âYouâre a pro member rightâ? Literally 2 minutes after the sale he didnât even remember that I wasnât a GameStop Pro member. He was too busy chatting it up on his phone on a personal call during business hours when customers are walking in.
I give it two stars because a least I got the game and they were open.
If I had Pokemon cards or the like that I wanted to have graded sent through GameStop I wouldnât trust this location.
Itâs clear the employees just donât care.
Double check before you pay for whatever it is youâre buying and if itâs supposed to include additional goodies see that...
Read morePlaystation announced the PS5 price and release date at 4:00 PM Central time yesterday, 9/16/2020, and indicated pre-orders would begin on 9/17. This Gamestop closes at 7:00 PM. At 6:30 PM I called and asked an employee about the pre-order situation. I was explicitly told that there would be no on-line sales and that the store had a limited number of pre-orders that they would be selling on a first come first serve basis beginning at 12:00 NOON today. He said 12:00 PM and I confirmed he meant NOON which is when the store opens. He said if I wanted one I better be 1st in line, which I was. When I arrived at the store at 11:30 AM I foudn a sign on the door that said Pre-Orders were sold out. I couldn't believe it, so I waited until Noon when the store opened and went inside to ask. Sure enough, the employee told me they were sold out and had sold out the night before. When I confronted him about what I was told he said he doesn't work at this store normally and only knows what he was told. My mother-in-law went to the Gamestop in Malvern, AR at noon today too, and she was able to pre-order a PS5 for my son, which makes me think this Gamestop sold all its pre-orders out the back door to employees, friends, and family. What I was told prevented me from exploring other avenues to secure a pre-order and caused me to waste several hours of my time. Needless to say, I am not happy and will never be doing business with Gamestop ever again. Also, while I was there I saw 2 free to play PS4 games (Destiny 2 and NBA 2k20) being sold for $$. I have been a loyal Gamestop customer for more than a decade,...
Read moreOne of the best GameStops that I have ever been to, and I have been to different GameStops in 5 different states (only started being a Pro member though back in 2014 -- Now I am Elite Pro!), and this Rogers AR branch is one of the finest! Excellent customer service, spearheaded by Lee and Summer (I think that's the manager's name!). They both are excellent when it comes to gaming knowledge and superb customer service skills before and after Point-of-Sale! They are honest (will let you know about good deals!), kind (very friendly!) and very trustworthy (won't jip and/or nickel & dime you!). Because of the kind of service I get at this store and how I have seen them interact with other customers, this branch has become my go-to-stop (GAMESTOP) for my immediate (pre-orders too) gaming needs. They have everything, even still Wii Remotes and nunchucks and Wii/DS/Gameboy Advance games! They even accept Retro Trade-ins! AND also have some nerdy (in a very good way) gear due to their aquistion of Think-Geek (they are planning to sell more gear in the store!!). I just bought a Super Mario Kart painting at $4.99, and it looks cool! There are many great things to say about this Rogers AR GameStop, but don't take my word for it; go and see what they offer and how they can help you achieve your video gaming goals! Rock...
