They seem better lately I usually know what I need but always seems to be an issue when you need help. They either treat you like you dont know what you're talking about or hide behind the counters in a corner talking and when you ask for help they seem a little annoyed you disturbed them. I asked if they had a certain watercolor they said if we did it was in such area and pointed at a general direction. I then said I saw it online and wasn't sure if it was available in store. She then begrudgingly looked it up and said they could ship it to the store or my house which woulda been fine except I decided by then to get it at wet paint where they did carry that type of watercolor. Sorry but not sorry the last few times I've been in there just seems like your staff doesn't care anymore and I used to think blick was awesome not all the staff most are good idk who this girl was she seemed new and her coworker as well and ive been shopping there since I worked at national camera over 10 yrs ago so idk what changed but find nicer people its art supplies its suppose...
Read moreWhile both products and selections are good, my grievance is with their so-called "sales". They have the regular list prices and then they have "everyday low price." A postcard sent to me boasted "70% of list prices" and on the backside it said "20% off entire off non-sale......" Well, everything marked as "Everyday low price" is, according to Blick, "on sale - EVEN THOUGH it is their everyday price. How can a store market something to be "on sale" when they sell it for that every day? It is deceiving at best, fraudulent at worst. I just spent over $50 there without getting a dime off. Blick, you call that a "sale"?? I will never buy from them again.
Rachel, thank you for your reply. I would agree with you insofar that had I read the fine print, I would not have an issue. What bothers though is the fact that on the card you sent me is a picture of the very Utrecht paint that I use with a 70% off above. Would you agree that what you see in that picture should be on sale? Isn't that would you would like the...
Read moreDefinetly a cool store to go to. You don't just have to be the artsy type either. Although they do have a vast variety of art materials, they have many other cool stuff as well. There's little nick nacks and candy in the front by the registers. I definetly had fun wondering around this store and I'm not the type for arts and crafts but my friend is who I was with and she also had a great time wandering around looking at eveeything inside the store. their lines can get long if you go at the wrong time, and I don't care for their register set up as it seems to make it more difficult to get the lines down if people aren't paying attention that are in the line, their aisles are also unpleasantly small but it's not a grocery store it is an art store so they don't really need huge isles. They gave everything from Gel pens, to oil paint, canvases, and much much more, and their prices are decent, it's not a cheap art store but the prices seemed decently reasonable compared to other art stores...
