Glowing Nails — Attraction in Roseville

I get dip nails here for a few years. They almost always do a great job. I noted that if you are very direct about what you want or have pictures, you will get a perfect result. Also, 8 times out of 10, they will take you on short notice which works for my schedule.

Edit update: I am moving them from a 5 star to 1 star. I have been going here for years, with the prior owner and the new owner. Recently they have become quite arrogant, as if you're lucky to be serviced at all (not how i would treat customers if I wanted to stay in business). The last 3x, i could not get what i wanted despite my explaining and photos. (As an aside, they lack good pink and red color options). This time, last week, when I made an appointment, they did take me but the nails were thick and awful. Like 10x worse than press on nails. And I have my own natural nails. I did not have time for a redo. I called the next day and they said to come in at 12. I came at noon and they took everyone around me. Said come back after 1:30 or 2. I came back after 2 and waited again. Then to fix my nails, the owner literally filed down all the thick stuff (the gel builder or whatever last technician put over my real nails), repainted, then charged me again. And they STILL weren't great as they were pointy despite me again saying i dont do the pointy claws but at least they weren't bumpy thick messes. Anyway, I got charged 2x for their mess up and had to spend over 3.5 to 4 hours on my nails plus wait time that I did not have. The owner was obnoxious and unapologetic. In fact, owner tried to blame me for their mess up and wait! Ridiculous.

So she got paid but NEVER EVER again will I go there. Cost way too much to deal unprofessional people and to be treated like garbage to...

I went to this place with a friend to get our nails done for her wedding. I don't get my nails done professionally very often, usually less than once a year, so it's always a real treat for me. The staff was kind and friendly, and the woman doing my friend's nails made good conversation while we there. She did try to upsell me, though - my friend was getting the "dip" polish, and she tried to talk me into getting that, too, when I just wanted a basic manicure with regular nail polish. As I mentioned, I get my nails done very rarely, so even getting a simpler treatment is a big deal to me - I don't need to splurge on a fancier thing. Also, I know from my past experiences that because the technicians at most nail salons are highly trained and because they use high-quality nail polish, even just regular nail polish lasts a week or two before chipping (unlike when I do it myself at home, ha!). When I mentioned I just wanted regular nail polish, the nail tech tried to tell me "that won't even last until the wedding!" which, in addition to just trying to upsell me on a product, also implied that their regular manicure is not high-quality. But I am here to tell you that, a week and a half after getting my nails done (with the regular nail polish!), they are still looking pristine! If you look closely you can see the polish wearing off right at the tips of my nails, but overall it's still really good. I am very disappointed with this nail shop. I came here because I had read some good reviews. My pedicure was OK. It was my nails that became a problem. I had made it very clear to the woman Chi who was doing my nails that I specifically wanted my cuticles cleaned, and my fingernails cleaned because I was getting gel x nails with a very see-through color. She said we don’t clean yucky stuff under the nails. I asked to pay to have it cleaned and she said no we don’t do that. I don’t care how much you pay if I don’t wanna do that I don’t have to do that. Well that’s fine so I left and I will no longer take my business there. There is no way I’m going to pay $100 for gel Nails to not even have under my nails cleaned. It’s unacceptable it’s unsanitary and they should be reported for health and safety concerns. I was very respectful and they were not she acted like at first she didn’t understand what I wanted and I had to constantly repeat myself. If you look at all the other reviews they sincerely apologize for a bad experience but respond to me first of all so unprofessional and you can just tell by the response that they were being rude.
