I started consigning at this location earlier this year up until about a month or so ago. Generally speaking, I’ve gotten great customer service from like 3 employees. The reason I’m only giving 2 stars and why I’ve also stopped consigning there is because when I went to pick up 2 items, a blue and red Coach wallet and a black PINK rolling suitcase, I was told that they were missing and that they would call me if they found them. A week later, I called them and was told that it was possible that were stolen and that they’ve had to trespass several people this year for shoplifting. I get that things happen in retail with it being such a large store and that I did sign a waiver saying that my items are left at my own risk, but having 2 of them stolen without much explanation or apology is very strange, especially with one of them normally being locked in a display case and the other a larger item. I typically don’t write reviews, but I just want other people to be aware and more selective of the items they try to consign there.
EDIT: I just called again on 2-9-19 hoping maybe that my items had been found and I could either still come pick them up or they had sold and I would have gotten money from them. As it turns out, they were found in a "weird place" (meaning somewhere in the back or just not on the sales floor?) and had been donated. No one bothered to call me to let me know that they had been found even though it had been brought to their attention that they were missing. From the sounds of it apparently it wasn't long after they had expired that they were donated, so everyone shouldn't have just forgotten about them. I will not be trusting them with my...
Read moreI was at turnstyle tonight with my kiddos we were looking for a black dress for an upcoming event and got side-tracked in the furniture. I didn't realize they closed at seven and a friendly furniture side associate let us know we had five minutes we quickly refocused on looking for a black dress. Immediately upon entering the clothing side an associate let us know we had five minutes and we let her know we knew. We looked for about two minutes and my kid with disabilities was playing on the clothing racks but I was watching and he was not messing anything up... within a few minutes the same associate told a woman a few rows down she had five minutes then came to me and told me we had one minute. I was like we have one minute ok..... and it bothered me we were being told different times. But we would finish up. As I was telling my daughter we needed to leave a different associate within hearing of me told me "you need to take your purchase get your card in your hand and go check out". I was so shocked at her tone and rudeness, I let her know we wouldn't be purchasing anything and that she was being rude. We left the store and I was in car pulling out at 7 pm. There were plenty of other customers still in the store none being treated like me. I tried to call tonight to leave a message with my complaint but there was no message machine just a busy signal. This is no way to treat anyone. No associate should tell you to have your card in hand to pay at 6:58 pm. Poor service will be a while before I ever go to this location again if...
Read moreI shop and consign at this turnstyle because it is in my neighborhood. The store is fine - a little more claustrophobic than other turnstyles I frequent, but that’s not really something they can change. What really strikes me about this particular turnstyle location is how rude the staff are. Consistently. All of them. Doesn’t matter when I stop in or who is working. They all are extremely bothered and annoyed.
For example, recently I stopped in to search for some shoes. The shoes are displayed above the clothing racks, so you have to weave through the narrow aisles to look at the shoes in your size. An associate was in an aisle hanging up some clothes, and so I squeezed passed her with a “‘scuse me”. I stayed in that same aisle just beyond where that staff person was working because a pair of shoes caught my eye. I guess she didn’t hear me or realize that I walked around her because a moment later I heard her say “oh, sorry” as if I had startled her. I wasn’t facing her and she didn’t bump into me or anything so I didn’t fully register that she was apologizing to me. When I didn’t say anything in response, she walked past me and said under her breath “…or not”. That’s when I realized that she was talking to me!
I can see why I must have come across as rude in the moment and I apologize for that—it was certainly not my intention, but it was the way she said it: “sorry…or not” that is illustrative of the typical attitude and snide remarks I’ve come to expect from the staff who work here. Unprofessional and uncalled for...
