McIntyre Square sits atop the hill across from The Block at Northway (formerly the Northway Mall). This small shopping strip offers a few eateries including Olive Garden, Chuck E. Pretty worn down. Typical PA shopping center, where local municipal guidelines have required FAR too much parking, so it is a sea of empty, barren asphalt, which does nothing but generate ridiculous amounts of storm water during rain events, flooding streams and overwhelming storm water management controls, as well as washing thermal pollution (during the summer months) as well as salts, metals, particulates, etc., into adjacent waterways.
