I emailed in the floral arrangements I wanted for my wedding only about two weeks ahead of my actual wedding date. That being said I went with 1st Moment Flowers because they were locally owned and close to me. They were also about $20 less than the other florists I reached out to. My email requested three bouquets and three boutonnieres, but the price estimate I received was for two of each, not three. Luckily we discovered the error a week ahead of my wedding, however, their solution was to charge me more for the additional arrangements although my email clearly state three of each. I let them know that the only reason I went with this shop was because of the price. So they made each bouquet embarrassingly small! I'm talking little flower girl bouquets small. I was also unsure of colors or actual flowers I wanted because I did not want flowers initially, so I told the florist the colors that were going to be in my wedding and told her she had all the freedom in the world on what to do and asked them to just make it look good. Well, they were terrible. She tried to incorporate all the colors and they turned out rainbow-esqu. I accept a lot of the responsibility in my selections, and if I had more time I would have gone in person and talked to the florist, but when they made the mistake on the order size, they should have eaten the cost and given me regular sized bouquets, not tiny ones. They had plenty of flowers on the floor in their shop they could have used. I was just so sad that I shelled out all that money for something I didn't even want in the first place just to be disappointed. After a “review” that was posted about this shop/experience the owner decided to CALL my mom and tell her how the review “had hurt her business” and started to gripe at my mom saying there was no “communication” to what my mom had envisioned. Then went on to accuse us and say that we never said we didn’t like it and would “compensate” and make bouquet better. I frankly stated “this is it?” when Ann handed me the bouquet the bouquet had 3 pieces of baby’s breathe as a “filler”, didn’t offer to add anything to it and just handed to me. If you pay close to $200 for an arrangement you expect some quality. When I asked her why “that” almost $200 she flat out said “27 roses” and repeated that twice to me. I told her “aren’t you going add more to it” and she said “no, your mom wanted 27 roses. Have a good day” and proceeded to walk to the back and ignore the fact we were not satisfied. This bouquet was very small and frankly not worth the money and not what we had explained to Ann. There are other floral shop who are willing to listen to your vision and not hustle you.
No customer should ever be called/attacked by the owner and complain to them about how their “reveiw is hurting their business” instead of them trying anazlye the situation and help them become a better small business. I placed the order over the phone with my cc info. billing address, etc. and was told that it wouldn't be a problem to have the arrangement delivered Sat. 10/2/21. After not receiving any calls/texts/emails to confirm that it was delivered, I called the shop today, Mon. I was told that my order "wasn't in the system." No sincere apologies or gestures to rectify my order not being delivered as promised. They said they could take down the info again and have a delivery sent today. I told them that I would call a different business. I support local, small businesses whenever possible and was under the impression that my business of placing a $80+ was going to be handled attentively and professionally.
