I had inherited an antique metal wall clock when my mother passed and while being moved to me the intricately decorated, delicate metal hands were bent enough to prevent the clock from working. No one could fix it. I had been to several places and had resigned myself to just hanging a broken clock on the wall for sentiment, then I found J. West. (Special shout out to Alex who was so supportive and confident in the shop’s abilities that she replaced my trepidation with excitement!)

I don’t know what kind of Harry Potter magic they possess but they were able to exactly relocate the hands of my clock and reassemble it so that it could function again. I can’t stress enough how delicate and detailed this work was. If they can do that, I trust completely them with any precious jewelry designs.

On top of that, their customer service is so exceptional that they kept the clock for several days after they had it functioning to ensure it continued to tell time correctly.

J. West Jewelers located in Round Rock TX just made me cry....happy tears! I brought in my Nonnie's wedding ring from the 1920's because I was considering wearing it again. I was working with Alex and Joseph, the owner, did a thorough inspection of it and suggested that I do not wear it due to the fragility of the ring. After I went home, I decided to get a quote from a few jewelers to see what it would cost to have the ring "duplicated" in order to keep it as a family heirloom. J. West was the LAST jeweler that I visited. What sold me on working with Alex and Joseph was they were the only jeweler that gave me a physical quote with the step by step procedure, picture of my ring on the quote, and the timeline to complete the duplication of my Nonnie's ring. To be honest, they were the highest price but I KNEW in my heart that they would take care of my ring and create a beautiful heirloom that I could wear and then pass down to the next generation. Alex kept me abreast of the work being done because it did take longer than expected- due to the fragility of the ring. Today I picked up my ring and it is even more beautiful than I imagined. I gave them permission to use any pictures they take for their portfolio because it is that GORGEOUS and special. I've bought my wedding ring here and gotten two items fixed here over the last few months. Both experiences have been top notch in comparison to some big chain brands in Austin. I've tried window shopping around with my then fiancee, and we've had some good and bad trying to find a place for our bands.

For my wedding ring band, the prices were comparable to other places. The difference for me was how I was treated here. They made me feel comfortable, and more importantly confident I found the right style, size and options to my liking. I didn't feel pressure to choose anything and they were all very helpful in my questions. I don't wear jewelry normally so this was important as I honestly felt strange to say the least wearing anything. But, I can say after 2 months now of daily wear, it's more strange to find myself without it!

For the repair experience, I brought in some jewelry that have sentimental value to me. It's pieces from my childhood with one piece broken and another a result of a bad repair. They were able to fix up both to look like new and honestly I'm very happy with it.
