Did you know that Candy Heaven in Old Town Sacramento is a delightful destination for candy aficionados and casual visitors alike? They offer an impressive variety of traditional American, Mexican, and international candies, and it’s unlike any other store that you’ve seen. As you step into this whimsical shop, the vibrant display of colorful sweets immediately captivates the senses. American classics like Tootsie Rolls, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and a plethora of jelly beans sit alongside Mexican favorites such as tamarind candies, spicy chili lollipops, and marzipan. The international section is equally enticing, showcasing a world tour of treats including Japanese mochi, European chocolate bars, and Australian licorice. This diverse selection ensures that there is something for everyone, no matter their taste preference or nostalgia for childhood candies. One of the most striking aspects of Candy Heaven is the affordability of its diverse options. Candy by the pound makes it easy to sample a wide array of sweets without spending a fortune. Whether you're purchasing a large bag for a party or just a small serving for personal enjoyment, the pricing structure allows for flexibility and encourages customers to try something new. Seasonal promotions and discounts further enhance the appeal, making it a cost-effective option for both locals and tourists who wish to indulge without breaking the bank. Moreover, the hospitality at Candy Heaven elevates the shopping experience to a whole new level. The staff is not only friendly and welcoming but also exceptionally knowledgeable about the candies they offer. Their enthusiasm is contagious, as they eagerly guide customers through the extensive selection, offering personalized recommendations based on individual preferences and dietary needs. This attentive service transforms a simple shopping trip into an enjoyable journey of discovery, helping each customer find their perfect confectionery match. Whether visiting for the first time or returning for more delightful finds, Candy Heaven ensures a memorable experience for all candy lovers.

Candy Heaven is such a fun little spot! The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by barrels of colorful candy, especially tons of saltwater taffy in every flavor you can imagine. It feels like a mix of a candy store and a trip down memory lane. The staff are super friendly and often offer free samples, which is a nice touch. There’s a huge variety—from old-school candies you don’t see often anymore, to sour gummies and cool novelty treats. The place is bright, cheerful, and perfect for kids or anyone with a sweet tooth. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but you’re also paying for the experience and the unique location in Old Sacramento. Some candies were better than others, but overall, it was a really enjoyable stop. If you’re visiting Old Sac, definitely pop in. It’s a fun place to explore, even if you don’t buy a lot.

This candy store is AWESOME! if you like hard candy, sour patch, salt water taffy and more! It is beautifully organized and so colorful! I came in here and didn’t know where to start. It’s as if I was a kid again. Some of the candies in here are stuff from like when I was younger!!! Staff: they were helpful and friendly. One guy saw I had a lot of stuff in my hands and he handed me a little basket. The girl at the cash register was telling us about some of the candies in the store and she had us try chocolate covered crickets! Ewww!!! But according to my nephew it tasted like KitKat and had a crunch like it Hahahaha! See video! They were open late on a Saturday night. Forgive me if I can tell you the time they close. But, I know I got out of a show that ended at 10pm so I know there were open late! Awesome candy store!!!

I normally don't take the time to write a review unless a business was either outstanding or awful, and I am very pleased to say that our experience with this business was outstanding. My mom and I went shopping here last night to buy a retirement gift for one of her friends at work. The store was very clean, well organized, had a fun and relaxed atmosphere, the employees were all very welcoming and polite, they were all very fun and helpful, I even had an employee there who came over to help me dig for red Starbursts out of the barrel as he told me "I'll keep digging for as many as you'd like, just tell me when." Everyone we encountered there was very professional but maintained a great sense of humor, it felt like we were among friends, not just people trying to sell us things, any questions we had were answered very quickly and with accuracy, if we asked one person a question and they did not know the answer, they quickly got it from someone else who did and got back to us. Prices are very fair and reasonable, I appreciate the environment, especially as someone who also works in retail. There were several times when we accidentally knocked a few things down (as many other customers did too, little pieces of candy piled high in large open barrels, it happens), and not once did the employees look or seem annoyed or irritated (I work in a clothing store, and when things get knocked over we all get annoyed, especially when it happens repeatedly). Thanks to the great selection, reasonable prices, and extremely clean store and extremely friendly and welcoming staff, I will gladly be going back as soon as I need to refill...

When you come here, you notice a lot of associates in a somewhat aerial view of the store as their form of loss prevention. I’ve come to this place for a very long time until recently. I came in here one time with my mom and little brother, and we overheard one of the associates say “watch the kid in the blue jacket” over their little radios as we walked through the door. It just so happened that the kid in the blue jacket was my little brother, a 16 year old black male. I then throughout my time in the store noticed that almost every person on their little balcony was staring at us, despite the store being completely PACKED. We continued to walk around the store, while being under very close surveillance when another random customer stopped me and my mom and told us “You need to get out of here and not buy nothing from these people, these people are radioing about you, saying that they’ve got eyes on you wherever you go because they think you are trying to steal.” The crazy thing was that we already knew they were, and that random customer confirmed it. In the moment, I felt very racially profiled, and I vow to never give this place my business again, and if...
