Went here because a man named Pete called "me" up and asked if I would like help with repair to my home due to Irma storm. So I agreed. Went and did alot of paperwork, seemed like it took forever. Pete then told me that I would hear fro him soon to set up a time and date to come inspect my home, which he did twice. One by himself, then with a rep. frome a roof repair company. They took pictures and made notes, got on top of the roof and inspected and took even more pictures. The rep was stating what could be done cost effective to help seal and secure the roof since the storm had made it leak thru so bad that the interior ceiling is crumbling and the walls are warped. Even some of the electric switches and outlets got short curcuited. Needless to say the dates between the event of the calls and appearances are far apart from each other. So Pete calls says that they are reviewing my application for assistance. Then he calls to come by again with a different rep. from a different roofing company. They do their interior and exterior inspection and talk about the most cost efficient plan with what has already been started on the roof. Nothing at anytime was said about the electric problems nor the walls, insulation replacement since water is making it damp and mold is more than likely forming behind the walls, nor did they mention a plan about the floors that where soft and rotting. So again they left but not before Pete lets us know that he will be in touch and that it looks like I probably would be getting help with the roof. Well of course we are greatful for this. At least help with the roof is tremendous since I have no one to help me out. Especially with the physical part. And can't really afford to hire anyone. So quite a few months go by and Pete calls again telling me that I will be hearing from 3 different roofing companies that will inspecting the place and giving a solution and quote. He tells me that they need 3 quotes from different companies so that they can select the best route to take in helping us. So then next day one roofing company calls, we get it all set up. The rep comes by inspects and tells me what he would do that would basically put a band-aide on the roof, but okay as long as it stops the rain from coming in and buy us some time to get on our feet, since the storm did set us back. Months go by and we hear nothing from no one. Then right when I get ready to call Pete to let him know that no other company has called, we receive "a letter" which informs us that unfortunately they cannot help us with the damages done by hurricane "Mathew" and that they wish us the best of luck. REALLY?!! First we didn't state anything about Mathew. And why even take us thru all of that if you're as bad as the jerks from FEMA! Yes I said it but that is another lost cause. We don't see how they could initiate (which by the way we did not apply nor inquire for help prior to Pete calling us. We don't even know how he got our info) then lead us to believe that they were going to help us at least with the roof which is our main problem. So to anyone that gets a call from this church and speaks to Pete, do not get mislead by them. So much for disaster relief help coming from this place. Nothing but a waste of time, hope, energy. To thing we had planned to be come members of this church. I guess that is who probably gets...
