Without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had with any company in my life. I brought in my PC for what I believed to be an issue with the GPU and had told them as much when I brought it in, I just wanted a 2nd pair of eyes to confirm this was the issue before I spent 500+ dollars on a new GPU. It took them over a week just to take a look at my machine. After which I was told they believed it to be a motherboard problem and recommended a replacement, so I bought a brand new replacement motherboard that would work with the parts in the machine. Another week and a half of waiting for the swap and then I am told that was not the issue and it is still not booting, so now I am out 140$ for the motherboard that likely did not need swapped and am told they believe it is the power supply. Another week and a half for them to order that and when they hook it up, still no luck, turns out it was the part I told them I thought it was when I dropped it off originally (and had mentioned in multiple phone calls). So I purchase a GPU myself and prepare to replace it myself over the weekend so that I do not have to lose another weekend of gaming to this mess, replacing a GPU is a very easy process that I have done many times on my own so I'm excited at the prospect of finally getting this thing working again. After what felt like pulling teeth I finally get my PC back in my possession, out 100$ for labor and 150$ for a part I almost certainly did not need for a PC that STILL does not work. 500$ for the new GPU and I'm finally ready to get this thing working EXCEPT I find out they have actually returned my PC to me in a MUCH worse state than when I brought it in AND charged me for the pleasure. I was content to have gotten it back in the same state I had brought it in and consider the wasted money water under the bridge, but now I find out they have somehow reinstalled my CPU, CPU cooler, and Power supply incorrectly causing a multitude of issues I simply cannot fix for myself. So now I will once again be spending another weekend without any gaming and spending what I can only imagine to be another hefty sum to have another, hopefully more competent store see if they can undo the damage that has been done and get things back to a working state. About 4 years ago I dropped my Galaxy Tab A 2016 on the floor of my high school classroom and it stopped turning on or charging or showing ANYTHING! I was so scared, especially since it had so many pictures and memories and drawings on it! When I took it into UBreakIFix, they claimed it was a specific issue and they wouldn't be able to fix it, that it required a special piece of equipment. I was heartbroken that I wouldn't be able to afford it as a high school student. Hoping that I'd be able to afford the fix, I waited until college and kept the tablet safe on my shelf! It came with me through a move and has been in the back of my mind. I graduated college and finally figured I could afford the fix so I took into TechPros to check out what the specific issue was so I could call extra companies to see if THEY could fix it. TechPros surprised me when they said it was likely an easy fix with the LCD. I was so worried to get my hopes up, but they cam through! They took MONTHS to repair it, part of it was waiting on a part, but it wasnāt communicated well even though everyone was buttery nice. I ultimately felt extremely uncomfortable with how long they had my devices and sensitive information, and still do!
They offered to, and changed a battery on one iPhone and it has never been the same since. It was working perfectly, now it has issues. It changed the whole display screen and lighting to a more dull color that canāt be undone and ruined my warranty (which they have a tiny tiny disclaimer about this on their desk) I wish I would have gone with my gut and said no and left the battery it had in as it was working fine.
They put a screen protector on another phone and somehow my phone has been able to crack UNDERneath the protector they put on. So it really did nothing to protect it.
My advice, just go to Zaggs in St. George!
