Pros: Some discount clothing was reasonably priced Cute atmosphere Non-manager employees nice and helpful
Cons: Grab-bag sale was not the itemized deal advertized, but a grab-bag pick from DI-quality bins in the back -Why did they even buy that stuff from people in the first place? Some clothing had holes, missing pieces etc, even on racks, again, why did they buy it from people? Opened their store before the advertised time -dishonest and misleading Sale only for pink-stamped tagged items, not as advertised and causing confusion for some customers
Experience: Manager refused to write down tags' barcodes and item description when computers kept acting up. Employees handled it very well, although manager did not. Manager refused to hold items for some customers citing that it wasn't fair for others in line, but agreed to hold items for other customers later, without notifying all the others in line that she was now taking holds. Manager kept saying it wasn't her fault and that there was nothing she could do -true, but shifted blame instead of being proactive. Manager would rather have had potential customers wait in line for FOUR hours (crying babies, people smoking) than write down tags, EVEN when she was offered help by other customers, because it "wasn't as effective" and "tags might get lost" and it was "too much of a hassle," as multiple people walked out the door (a) instead of making a purchase and (b) shoplifting Manager had other employees worry about restarting the computers multiple times instead of having them (a) calm down angry customers or (b)prevent losses from shoplifters giving up and leaving the premises with clothing. Manager told customers she was not forcing them to stand in line -true- instead of trying to keep business and potential return customers STORE OWNER LEFT TOWN ON WEEKEND OF BIG SALE AND TOLD EMPLOYEES THERE WAS NOTHING SHE COULD DO, instead of giving them options to (a) end sale and offer a discount or something (b) take inventory of items sold another way (c) allow them to call in other employees or IT/Zion's outlets/internet providers etc. to help, among other options Manager and store owner should take a course in customer service, and get their computers fixed. From standing next to the counter in line I learned that this is a repeat problem, and they should not have even had the sale if this was the case until it had been...
Read moreMy child and I stopped by to shop a couple days ago. It was quiet in store for the duration of our shopping. We shopped for about an hour before I requested to use the fitting room and was informed that the fitting rooms closed at 6 pm. I look at the time to see that it is 6:24 pm. I asked what time the store closes and the employee said 7 pm. She proceeds to say that they inform everyone that the fitting room closes at 6 when they come through the door and I didnât observe any signage to communicate this.
I have an issue with this because a) we were definitely not informed walking through the door, b) we werenât greeted with a hello or any acknowledgement from either of the 2 employees that were standing behind the counter when we entered, although we did make eye contact, c) we were shopping for nearly an hour and never once did either of them say a single word to us even though we passed each other multiple times and d) who invites people to shop in store for used, non-returnable items and then refuse the customer a fitting room more than 30 minutes before closing?!
I requested the name and contact info of a manager and was met with âshe is out of town on trainingâ. The employee then refused to give me the managerâs name. So I asked for a business card and was told they didnât have one. My child told me later he seen business cards on the shelf behind the counter. This is not the first time visiting this store but it was the first time being ignored, denied a basic service as well as denied any way to contact management. Needless to say, I didnât purchase a thing and if it were up to me, my child wouldnât have purchased the two shirts he did. Itâs hard to support local business when they provide...
Read moreWas not impressed. Been doing clothing exchange for years living in SLC but I wonât be using RFE again. Place is run by catty teenage girls and if something is not their style or your not friends with them they wonât take it. I felt like I was being judged from the moment I walked in and had a feeling from the girls attitude when I gave her the stuff I brought on to exchange she was gonna turn it all down just by her facial expression and attitude. Brought in a few items hoping to sell at least one or two mainly the ones with tags that I had just recently purchase and just didnât want to drive all the way back up north to exchange or get my money back. They need to post something saying what kind of items they are looking for or currently taking in as the only explanation the girl gave was that my stuff was to old and not âin styleâ (I think she meant not her style) which confused me since as I said some of the items were brand new and mall brands. Also in looking around a lot of the items in the store were in pretty sad shape saw many items torn or had holes. Wish they had an uptown cheapskate here that place always tells you what they are taking in on exchange and they have great items they never take in things that...
