With the exception for my most recent experience, my past visits to Woodhouse Day Spa have been exceptional. I have been blessed to have had several massages and a pedicure at the location in DTSP.
I had booked the treatment a week prior during the night of Woodhouse Day Spa's one year anniversary party with Jodi. I had requested Lisa because she was the LMT that had performed my past massages.
I also checked in with Jodi when I arrived for my appointment last Friday. I stated that I was there for an appointment with Lisa for an 80 minute Deep Tissue Massage. I was then escorted by Anna to the locker room and then later to the Quiet Room.
After lounging for some time, I was retrieved by Sherri Ann who informed me that she was to be my LMT. I was taken aback because I had expected Lisa the whole entire time and was never informed that she would NOT be performing the massage. I am, by no means, discounting the level of service by Sherri Ann. She was great and I will get to that in a little bit later.
After my treatment was finished, I checked out with Jodi and the GM, Michael was also at the counter. I informed them of the miscommunication, and they stated that someone named Kelly had changed the booking. I NEVER dealt with anyone by the name of Kelly at the time of my booking or the confirmation of my appointment.
I am DISAPPOINTED in the way this miscommunication was handled. I was NEVER informed at any time that the LMT I requested was not going to be available. I don't mind alternate choices, but I at least would like to be offered them.
Despite my disappointment from my recent visit, I won't deny that Woodhouse Spa is a beautiful spa with a luxurious atmosphere.
Once you check in, you will be escorted to the locker room where you can change into a robe and slippers. Next, you will relax in the Quiet Room and will be treated to a glass of champagne, mimosa, or a choice of other beverages. Your specialist will then retrieve you at the appropriate time for your treatment
I received a pedicure from Katrina and I instantly fell in love with her. She was friendly, courteous, and was a very good nail stylist. Everytime I visit Woodhouse, Katrina remembers me and gives me a hug, which means a lot.
Lisa has been my massage therapist on several occasions and is excellent at her craft. Her long slow strokes and her calming voice are just two of the things I enjoy when I receive a massage from her. She is a delight to deal with and makes every visit special.
Sherri Ann was very friendly and courteous. I appreciated her style of therapy because she combined stretching techniques with massage.
If you plan to visit this spa and book an appointment with a specific person, double-check and triple-check to confirm several times that you are placed with the person you...
Read moreThe four serves I had encountered with were above average. And I was happy with all who worked on me and even made it a point to let them know as well on the next day. When the front desk asked, I was honest about me being happy, and I meant it. At the same time I did not get my mom’s story. It was only after we left that my mom and I had to talk about it.
Mathew reflexology was not what I used too. So it was okay for me. But when it came to the four handed massage with Mathew and Jessica. Mathew sure does have the healing touch. He worked on areas I did not know there was problem. I wanted full body deep tissues massage, and he surly gave it. He could excel as a healer.
Jessica is really good with the back. I should have spoken up, so the pressure was moderate. But she is friendly.
Mathew and Jessica are professional. They work well together on the four handed massage. They payed attention to each other and the client. t was their first time working together too, so I was impressed.
Beth is like an old friend with a caring and loving mother kind of treatment. And boy, her head massage were amazing. I would go back for her head massage if nothing else.
This was my first official day spa, therefore I have nothing to compare too. However, My mother was not impressed with the facility and front staff. She says, “This was not one to go back too.” In her other spa, the alcoholic drinks were given to her without having to ask for it. There were fruits and other little snack during the treatment. The facial she had at another place worked on her pores.
This place, when she was showering, the shampoo pump did not work for her. She did not think the facial was worth it. “A few rubs then wash off, another rub, then wash off, more rub then wash off, towards the end, a little hand, arm and leg, foot massage, and that was it?” Her other facial worked on her pores. But then again, not all facial treatment are created equal.
Yeah having to ask for champagne does not feel good. Formed filled out, then to be ask what “we are doing today?”, then “what was the point of filling out the form, again?”
To the Response post: thank you for the offer. I wish the company and all the staff...

During Thanksgiving, we had guests visiting who wanted to show their gratitude by treating us to a spa experience. We were a group of six, so they purchased a package that included eight services: six massages and two Shirodhara treatments, along with champagne and other perks. However, at checkout, they were suddenly informed that Shirodhara was not covered and had to pay extra.
To make matters worse, the remaining balance on the package was given to us in the form of a handwritten note stating it could be used for an 80-minute body massage.
Two weeks ago, I visited the spa to schedule a facial. The receptionist remembered our group and acknowledged the previous mix-up but assured me that while the credit could not be used for a facial, it was still valid for a massage. However, when I returned today to schedule my massage, I was told by the manager, Trina, and another staff member, also named Tina, that the credit was no longer valid. Their excuse? The employee who issued the credit note did not get prior approval, so they refused to honor it.
At this point, I was beyond frustrated. Time and time again, Woodhouse employees have dropped the ball, yet no one takes responsibility for their mistakes. I asked Tina a simple question: When a client walks in and interacts with a spa representative, doesn’t that employee represent the company? Customers shouldn’t have to navigate internal policies or miscommunications—yet here we are.
I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to deal with a frustrating and unprofessional ordeal. The entryway may look impressive, but the services themselves were mediocre at best. And what they call “Shirodhara” isn’t even performed correctly—it’s an Ayurvedic oil technique, and they clearly lack proper training.
Woodhouse needs to train its staff both in customer service and in the actual techniques they...
