What an awesome location in the heart of St. Petersburg. You’re basically located right in between all of the cool things to do. And there are two FREE transit trollies provided by the city that run service steps away from the front door of the Inn that will get you there.
Speaking of the front door… it’ll almost always be opening for you when you near it. The concierge Bryan (assuming the owner or one of the owners) rushes out when he sees you coming and opens the door for you so that you don’t have to get your scan card out. He’s always open to conversation and has a good read on when to keep it short and pleasant. Same with the gentleman (we think Ed) that operates the evening shift. They have a vast knowledge of the area and the best ways to get around town. Super friendly guys that contributed to making our stay a memorable one, especially Bryan, who we had the opportunity to speak to throughout our stay, including our last day during breakfast and past breakfast lol. Tasty continental type of breakfast with some hot eats is provided every morning in the front seating area.
The rooms are all uniquely furnished in a nice old time meets modern amenity type of décor considering it’s an older building. A tad smaller than most hotel rooms but they were super comfortable and met our needs. We originally picked this place because of the anticipated ambiance and feel of a smaller type of Inn. Meaning everyone is respectful and the noise level is kept to a minimum regardless of what time of day or night it is. Sadly we weren’t able to participate in happy hour where the first drink is on the house and a great way to socialize with other guests staying there. Super cool idea and totally in-line with the type of feel you’re going to get from staying here. Plenty of parking located right beside the Inn.
The main attractions we wanted to check out were the Dali museum and Tropicana field for a Jays game. Rays game lol. We also got a chance to check out the main pier area which is incredible, and the Imagine Museum. Good little discounts available in the city guide brochures/leaflets located in the lobby as well.
I’d definitely stay here again and easily recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We were a little sad having to leave but at the same time happy for the memories...
Read moreMy wife and stayed here for three (3) nights from December 13-16, 2024. We booked our stay online via Booking.com and checked out most of their website's reviews (mostly favorable) before making this location our selection. The reviews matched our expectations perfectly. Our Room #24 on the second floor was a bit on the small side (like a small guest bedroom), but had a small hanging closet, a writing desk, queen bed, small 16" TV, small cubic foot sized fridge, and a small bathroom. It was quiet and comfortable, and had a small window unit AC. Essentially, this building looks like it was built in the 1930s, and it has that quaint retro feel to it, both in the lobby and in the hallways. Parking is outside to the left of the front entrance. There is no elevator that I saw, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs to our room, but it wasn't too inconvenient. All of the three staff members we encountered during our three night stay were very friendly and hospitable. They offer free WIFI as well, and it worked fine during our entire stay. They also offer one complimentary drink of wine or bottled beer each evening in the lobby from 5 pm to 7 pm, and if you want a second one, you put $2 in their honor system kiddie jar. In the mornings from 7:30 to 9:30 they have fresh hot coffee, pastries, muffins, bagels, and yogurt in the lobby as well. The best part of this place it it's LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION......and its value price. You have access to probably close to 50 restaurants, bars, or tourist attractions all within a half a mile walk. We did see a few homeless in downtown, but none of them approached or harassed us during our visit, so we felt very safe walking about,...
Read moreOctober 26, 2025. We stayed there again last night attending the Salvador Dali Museum Suenos de Dali yearly party. It's still a great place with the happy hour still from 5 to 7:00, and a continental breakfast in the morning. You just can't beat the rates for a great place to stay in downtown St. Pete. Owners Brian and Stephanie are wonderful. We stayed there for three days during the week to celebrate our anniversary and it is within short walking distance to downtown, the Pier and just about all over to anywhere you would want to go. There is a happy hour from 5 to 7 with a free beer or glass of wine and only $2 if you want to have more than one glass. They serve a continental breakfast consisting of cereals, baked goods, hard-boiled eggs, coffee and juice, and fruit. Compared to the cost of other hotels in the area, staying at the Inn on 3rd was a bargain. The rooms are not fancy and they are rather small but the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the bathroom was also nice with good water pressure and soft towels. What was also nice was speaking to people from all over the country and world for that matter during happy hour...
