I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and it has always been one of my favorite spots. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I’m sharing this in the hope that some improvements can be made.
During my most recent visit, I learned from the bartender that the restaurant is under new management, and unfortunately, the experience wasn’t up to the usual standard. When I sat at the bar, I wasn’t greeted for several minutes, despite multiple employees walking in and out of the kitchen. I eventually received a glass of water, but when I said hello to the bartender, there was no response. It took several more minutes before I was given a menu, though I could have grabbed one from the host stand myself.
The bartender appeared to be overwhelmed, as she was managing a party of six to eight people at a table. However, I noticed that other customers who arrived after me and sat at the bar were also not greeted promptly. One man eventually grabbed a menu from behind the bar, to which the bartender responded, “Do not go behind the bar. If you give me a minute, I’ll be right with you!” While I understand the policy of not allowing customers behind the bar (having worked in the service industry myself), the tone of the exchange was abrupt and uncomfortable. Those customers did eventually receive waters but ultimately left after feeling ignored.
When it was finally my turn to order, I asked for a tequila cocktail, only to learn that the new management had removed all tequilas from the bar except for Jose Cuervo. This was particularly disappointing, as this is one of the few sushi restaurants in St. Pete with a full bar. I decided to skip the cocktail entirely.
We ordered edamame, miso soup, and sushi rolls. One of the things I’ve always loved about this restaurant is their willingness to customize rolls, such as making them without rice. Unfortunately, the experience with the food was also disappointing. The edamame came out promptly, but the miso soup—which typically arrives first—never came. When our rolls arrived, mine was made with rice, which I had specifically asked to omit. The chef who brought it out was very apologetic, and the bartender acknowledged that it was rung up incorrectly. They remade the roll, but this time, it came without rice but also without the tuna on top, which is my favorite part. Instead, the tuna was placed inside the roll.
To their credit, the bartender offered to remake the roll again, and they even brought out tuna sashimi to add on top of the roll. This was a thoughtful gesture, and the roll itself was tasty, but it wasn’t the experience I was used to.
When the bill arrived, I noticed that the miso soup—which I never received—was still included. The bartender promptly removed it without issue.
Overall, this visit was disappointing. I’ll give the restaurant another try because I know that off nights happen, and I’ve had great experiences here in the past. Hopefully, the new management will address some of these concerns and bring back the high standards that made this place one of...

First off, let’s talk about the menu—it’s a choose-your-own-sushi-adventure novel with plot twists like Yakitori, Tuna Towers, and something called an Oreo Sensation which sounds like a Boy Band but tastes like deep-fried dessert heaven.
I started with the Takoyaki, because nothing says “trust the process” like eating fried octopus puffs covered in bonito flakes that wave at you like they’re alive. Spoiler: they’re not. But they are delicious.
Then I blacked out and woke up to a Surf and Turf Roll that changed my life. Fried shrimp, spicy krab, asparagus, and strip steak all in one bite? It was like a hibachi grill and a seafood boil had a love child.
Also ordered the JaleTuna Bites, which sounds like something that would appear on Hot Ones. These little jalapeño-stuffed bombs were cheesy, spicy, and tempura-fried—aka the three major food groups.
And let me just say—the ramen is no afterthought here. I ordered the tonkotsu pork broth and suddenly felt like I was in a Tokyo noodle shop being spiritually cleansed by broth and steam.
For dessert, I obviously went full maniac and got the Oreo Sensation. Five tempura-fried Oreo puffs that looked me straight in the eye and dared me to finish them all. I did. I’m proud. I’m ashamed. I have no regrets.
Pro tip: They do $2 off rolls during happy hour. That’s basically a sign from the universe.
In short: If you like sushi, snacks, and feeling like you’re making questionable but amazing life choices, Sushi Inc is your new religion. Just be prepared to unbutton your...

Never happened before ... I had four plates of food in front of me and then I had 3 waitresses sitting next to me and my friend at a table literally staring us down when I still had 10 minutes before the restaurant was said to close... I started eating my food quickly so I could get out of there because I felt so uncomfortable and then I decided to just ask for boxes which they happily gave me even for my Sushi because I was beginning to feel sick scarfing down this food instead of enjoying it if you say you're going to close at a certain time I'm not sure why your staff is sitting around 15 minutes before the store actually closes looking at the patrons.. they lost my business... I work at a restaurant and there's always some side work to be done I would never sit next to someone and...
