Editing because it is the right thing to do. Companies range from those that make mistakes and won't acknowledge them to those that work to make it right. Exitus went so far beyond any expectation that I'm honor bound to set the record straight. Their scheduling software didn't block out the holidays as it was supposed to, so there was no one there to greet us when we arrived. I'll save you the details but the response when I got in touch with an employee was unhelpful, and this was after my partner had called and left messages with no response. However... the following week, the owner contacted us, refunded the room, and invited us to come do the room anyway as a way of making it right. He also offered my lady and I a 'date night' voucher as well. He was very apologetic and seemed genuinely concerned about what happened, including how it was handled by his staff, and at the failure to catch the inappropriate scheduling the software let us make. We can't wait schedule our visit and try our luck with the room. We weren't looking for "freebies" but did want our proper refund. The owner was so gracious and really did more than was necessary, but we appreciate it, and will certainly tell our friends that they have an upstanding local business to support. Book your room! Read moreSuper impressed! We had a booking during the snow/ice storm and I emailed asked if we might be able to reschedule if we couldn't get there. They emailed back very quickly and told me they could reschedule or give me a voucher so I could reschedule anytime. I asked for the following weekend and someone called me to confirm that date and time and changed it immediately. Day of, I arrived with a group of 8 teen girls. The staff member who helped us was very nice and patient with the girls. The girls told me that they needed "lots of help" and the person on the other end of the walkie talkie was supportive and helpful. I was also impressed watching the interactions of other staff with customers. One group of adults came in late for their appointment and weren't the kindest. The staff member handled it with grace and stayed calm when explaining they might have to wait a bit. All-in-all, I thought the customer service was excellent and I'd definitely return. My only issues were that the entrance is a bit hard to find (there's something on the door of the food hall but you have to be right on it) so letting customers know in an email would be helpful. We actually ended up having an issue in our room with one of the pieces so she gave us a little extra time due to the problem/delay. I would say even though my group had fun, I have a HUGE suggestion.. it’s great you give unlimited hints but it’s frustrating feeling like we needed a hint to move onto the next thing or to even START the escape room. So my suggestion would be to write down hints in each of the things unlocked so players can know where to even go next or what to do in general. It was all over the place and confusing. I don’t think we got a single thing done without at least two hints and there were 7 of us, all with some kind of college degree.. That “20% success rate” is understandable only because there was nothing telling us what to do so we had to ask. It would be more fun to have those hints or possibly a riddle with everything you unlock, not a clipboard that does just about...
