I donāt know why this location insists on making things so unnecessarily difficult for their customers. I received an orange slip in my mailbox informing me I had a package that needed a signature to be delivered. I am at work during the hours this location is open and am unable to go in person. I immediately put in a redelivery request, giving them my permission to leave my package with my leasing office (something I have done numerous times before with packages needing a signature since I am never home when they try to deliver).
A few days later, I got a voicemail from the staff, telling me that they do not deliver to the office because the office has their own mailbox (???). They said they would try to deliver it to the office but that they couldnāt (????). I have no idea why they told me contradicting statements , or why they suddenly are āunableā to deliver my package to my leasing office like they have multiple times before. I do not know how they expect me to pick up this package since they close before I am off work- am I suppose to stay home from work to sign for this package? Do you people not realize that other people also have jobs and are not always home when you are out delivering mail at 11 am??
I am now trying to call the post office to ask them how I am suppose to get this damn package and of course, they are not answering. I have been calling for the past twenty minutes, over and over, because it just keeps ringing with no answer.
I truly do not understand the logic in not accommodating their customers by leaving the package with their buildings leasing staff at the customers request, and only operating during hours that make it very difficult for anyone with a regular job to go in person. Not to mention how ridiculous it is that they do not answer their phone when someone is calling about trying to get their package!!
What annoys me the most is that the package they are seemingly making impossible for me to actually get is nothing expensive or valuable- it is a bottle of self tanning lotion worth about $20. I could understand this trouble for something worth a few hundred dollars. But a bottle of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAgain one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I ordered a book via amazon and it got to slc in the time frame it was supposed to. When it was out for delivery, the courier decided to forward it for some reason. No change of address. No reason really. Jessica from the station let me know kindly there was nothing she could do. They figured it had been sent back to the sender, media mail service doesnāt include forwarding service. Fast forward 8 days, the shipper hasnāt seen it. The tracking just shows it was forwarded. So I cal the post office again and again and again. This time was only like 10 call attempts before someone picked up the phone. The silver lining I suppose to my experience with the post office in downtown slc. A personal best at 10 call attempts to get through. So Jamal the manager in the area takes the call and asks for two days to wrap his mind around the situation before I call him back looking for more information. 2 days!!!!!!!!!? Itās been 8 already! Omg. Seriously, how long before tax dollars are no longer wasted on such a poorly run...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur postman based out of this office is horrible. Almost on a daily basis we get the wrong mail and have had items never arrive... I am guessing were delivered to the wrong address and then never returned. I have also seen my neighbors on numerous occasions walking over to other houses returning mail that was wrongfully delivered. We recently had a very important letter that was mailed out six days ago from a nearby office never arrive, which is preventing us from making a doctor's appointment for our son. My guess is that our postman delivered this to the wrong address and a neighbor did not make sure it was forwarded to the right address. THIS HAS TO STOP. We also had another incident where season tickets to a local theatre were all sent at once in a letter that was wrongfully delivered to a neighbor. The neighbor later informed us that they gave the letter back to the postman stating that it was the wrong address and then we discovered he sent if back to the theatre stating we did not live there even though the address was labeled correctly but just delivered to the...
