I would not recommend visiting this location near Culebra & 1604 due to poor customer service and unacceptable food quality. I’m a long time Bill Miller’s patron and never have I been treated in such an unappreciative manner. This night, we spent about $40 at this location and brought several meals for my hungry family. In my order, we received two chicken sandwiches that chicken patties were obviously sitting there for hours by the look with burnt buns that were hard and inedible, which ruined our entire meal. We ended up having to share food because I wouldn’t even serve what was given to my dogs. When we addressed the issue, Ms. Martinez, general manager, refused to replace our full meal, which I felt was a reasonable request given the situation and the amount time, gas, and money spent going back and forth due to this debacle. Then Martinez had the audacity to ask me if I wanted the replacement sandwiches fresh? Duh! Unfortunately, this experience showed a lack of care for customers, and I suggest avoiding this location if you're expecting decent service or quality food. But even worse was how I was treated by the Ms. Martinez, who obviously is inexperienced dealing with customers, she just told me in a sarcastic way saying, “Well I am replacing your sandwiches.” As if that was enough. No apology or even a cold drink was offered while I waited for the replacement of the sandwiches. Oh yes, she offered a free dessert. My response to her was that this whole situation was unacceptable, but her attitude towards me was worse than the whole order messed up. Ms. Martinez needs retraining or put busing tables to relearn customer service. I’m never coming back to this place and suggest others to do the same. Honestly, I’ve been treated better by other well known fast food chains and know from them, the difference of what good...
Read moreHi, I am a regular with Bill Millers and spend a lot of money there. But I am very upset about something that may sound stupid. I thought it was odd when I ordered my meals that the cashier taking my order asked me, “medium or a large fry?” I ordered a medium thinking that was the smaller of the two options she gave me. I didn’t think anything of it until I got home and saw that I had a huge fry. Then I looked at the receipt and they were upcharged $1.75 cents more in each meal. I thought this was crazy because I didn’t need or want a bigger fry. Here’s the thing, it’s not about the $1.75 , it’s about the deceptive, forced charge upgrade. The cashier should have asked if I would like to upgrade to medium or large, not only give me those two options. So I call the manager and she said that they were asking them to try to up charge the customers. She goes on to tell me that I’m the only one complaining about it. She also stated “that you should have asked for it how it comes.” I tried to explain to her that that’s not how it is being presented. She seemed to not care. This was 10/15 after 8pm so whoever the closing manager was. She didn’t see the wrong in what they were asking and basically put it back in me. I thought that was ridiculous. Anyway, I thought I should bring it your attention as I am also reporting it to the BBB, because this is very wrong. It’s not about the $1.75 at all, I can afford it, but the principle of deception and forced upcharge and how much more this store may be making to meet goals by deceiving so many customers, loyal customers at that.
Just the name on the receipt is Matthew but it was a lady who took my order. Who knows, may have been the manager? I would like a response from...
Read moreBill Miller’s is hands down one of my all-time favorite spots for BBQ and comfort food. Their BBQ is the best around — the brisket is tender and flavorful, the sausage always hits the spot, and their tasty chicken is juicy and cooked just right every time.
I absolutely love their fries; they’re always hot, crispy, and perfect with a side of their fresh pico de gallo. The pickles, onions, salsa, and even their classic white bread (or as we like to call it “baitfish bread”) complete the meal. It’s that old-school BBQ spread done exactly how you want it.
Their sweet tea is honestly my favorite — super refreshing and perfectly sweetened, I could drink gallons. And don’t even get me started on the desserts! Their pecan pie is rich, nutty, and just melts in your mouth, while the lemon pie is tangy, creamy, and the perfect way to end a hearty meal.
Bill Miller’s always delivers great food, fast service, and a welcoming, casual atmosphere. Whether I’m grabbing a quick lunch or picking up dinner for the family, I can always count on them. Highly recommend for anyone craving solid Texas BBQ and classic...
