Huebner Oaks Center — Attraction in San Antonio

This review is actually for Salt grass steakhouse. Ah what a difference time makes! I've had the pleasure of dining here but it was years ago. So I decided to take my wife out for a good steak dinner at Salt grass located at Huebner Oaks. It was truly one of our worst dining experiences ever! We were seated almost immediately! That's a plus, but that's the only good thing. The food tasted terrible, the service was even worse. Our waitress, a rather heavy set somewhat young woman served us our food and then pulled a Casper on us. She simply vanished. After corralling her, I asked for a tea refill. Apparently that request was above her pay grade. 5-10-15 minutes passed. I finally got the attention of a passing server who immediately brought me a refill. Yesterday I took my little 9 lb Maltese to check out local vendors and a large black dog attacked her. No one did anything including the owners so I rushed her out of that place. When we got home I realized she’d been hurt abs had to rush her to the local ER vet clinic. After 6 hours it was determined she had been scratched in the eyelid by that dog. Had I not intervened when I did her she would have been completely scratched and worse. This was so disappointing considering the owners dog did not react fast enough and just stood there in shock watching it happen. This place use to be rocking all the time but with La Cantera and some spots like Starbucks and Abercrombie &Fitch leaving it’s not as busy as it once was. Theater switched from AMC to Regal and it’s the main reason I come here but also REI outfitters is here as well as La Madeline, Fire Wok Tiff’s Treats, Chipotle and a bunch of other restaurant options. Nice little place to eat your meal at some set up picknic tables outside Chipotle and REI and sometimes they have a food truck there. Your stuff can get broken into here but they have a pretty consistent security guard presence trying to prevent that so take whatever precautions you need to not make...
