I booked a iRelaxbot massage through Groupon and made sure to call ahead to schedule my appointment. During the call, I clearly stated that I had purchased an iRelaxbot massage via Groupon. The receptionist confirmed my appointment for the same day. When I arrived, I filled out all the required forms as instructed. However, after my massage, when I presented my Groupon barcode, I was told I needed to pay for the massage I had just received. The receptionist claimed he didn’t know what Groupon was and insisted that I had received a human massage instead of the iRelaxbot massage I booked. He discussed it with his manager, they still demanded that I pay an extra fee for their mistake. To make matters worse, I only received a 35-minute massage, even though I was charged for a full 60-minute session. This is completely unacceptable—if the massage therapist believed I was scheduled for a 60-minute massage, then I should have received the full time. Instead, I was rushed out after just over half an hour. It is absolutely wrong for the staff to make a mistake with my booking, then try to pass the responsibility (and the extra cost!) onto me. The receptionist kept saying he was new and didn’t know how things worked, but that’s no excuse for such poor service and lack of accountability.

In December 2023, I visited Bayhill Acupuncture Medical Center for an acupressure massage and have been getting weekly massages there since then. The frequency and intensity of my pain and discomfort have decreased, making it easier to perform daily tasks involving my hands, arms, and shoulders. Another benefit is that I now have increased circulation in my toes. I am more calm, relaxed, and less stressed, because I feel better overall.

The staff is welcoming and the atmosphere is warm and calming. The waiting area is beautifully decorated. They have individual treatment rooms with heated, comfortable tables, and calming music. There is plenty of unpaid parking in the shopping center.
