Mexicana Produce Market — Attraction in San Bruno

Good: produce is generally fresh, decently priced, and of good quality. The checkout staff is mostly fast and efficient. They make fresh guacamole in a small kitchen which is pretty fantastic and tasty, but expensive (compared to if you were to make the same quantity at home by buying avocados... However if you're feeling lazy or in a crunch, this is much better than all the other store guac)

Bad: don't see any organic options; it is possible stuff is already organic, but labels don't say it. They also seem to charge extravagantly for certain items randomly (for e.g., small box of blueberries was going for $7 one day, and back to $2.99 the next) which you may not realize if you don't pay attention.

Ugly: if you're vegetarian or don't like meat, the smell in the store as you enter may put you off. They sell all sorts of meat, and it smells pretty bad and takes few minutes to get used to. Also, the inside of the store is generally pretty cold (it will only be an issue...

They have a good selection of fresh produce for great prices. The quality of the produce is very good. I regularly shop here for vegetables. The produce that is in season is always the freshest here. The store is very clean, but sometimes it smells strongly of cleaner in a way that is unpleasant. The fact that it is clean is what's important though. The staff is always friendly. I enjoy shopping here. There is plenty of parking behind the store, but it is not free. It's 10 hour parking which is very confusing. This place has a little something I think for most. It is just that, a Mexican produce store. Has a really good selection of meats though. Fruits are good too with a decent amount of variety. Small dairy selection with alot of Mexican creams and cheeses and milks. Veggies and greens are assorted but good and a descent price. Alot alot of spices, seasonings. Small amount of laundry supply's. There are refrigerators at this grocery store too but don't refrequent them so I'm not sure what they contain.
