Newer open mall still experiencing construction and looks like it will continue for some time. Please don't be fooled by the outlets name. There are plenty of retail shops and some have discount, sale kr clearance items but the prices appear full retail and.the inventory is not overstocked or reduced price. Seems to be the opposite actually, with higher end boutique shops like LuLu Lemon. Does that sound like an outlet. I think it is false advertising at it's best. But hey, do have credit available on some of your credit cards? They can certainly help you with that. Parking is free and the place is a decent size and expanding. There are a few restaurants but nothing that I would brag about or recommend. There is a decent movie theatre but their IMax theatre does not have reclining seats. Be aware when you pay $20 a movie that it is not a Regal, AMC or Edwards. It is definitely not a Cinepolis. They do have, ai kid you not, seat warmers in their non reclining chairs, likely because of the need to defrost from our extremely harsh winter conditions of 65° F. Seriously, I would love to meet the person who thought that making people sweat in a closed room while sitting on heated leather seats for 2 hours at a time was a good idea. I would also like to meet the person who then placed the order for those seats knowing they were headed to CA and a beach city that prays for rain every year. That is logic beyond my wildest imagination. Bravo. Anyway, they have a large IMAX theatre that for a small venue is satisfactory. If you are caught in a snow blizzard and want to nestle up with 130 people in a room where everyone is on a hot seat, you should head straight there. The mall closes early but we just left the theatre at midnight. Be aware it is very dark with all the lights from the stores turned off and no real interior sconces or light fixtures.. you can find your way to the parking lot using the ambient light from the neon signs and maybe a few pavers scattered about but I'm not sure I would let my pre-teen hang out there at night. Apparently lots of parents don't agree with that assessment as there are a lot of very young kids there all the time, at night they skateboard and mess around. They are not menacing or a burden, there are just a lot of them and I would say this probably is not a great first date kinda spot. There was a security guard, maybe, or just a guy on a golf cart. Come to think of it, could be a janitor or a wealthy home owner who lives nearby I suppose. Either way, the place could use some extra lighting for safety for...
Read moreUsing the ChargePoint here I experienced as an Asian, got spat on by a construction worker working in the building #(200) saying after he showered me with his spit from a gulp out of his water bottle, "here now you have COVID." Michael the head of security, tried to help and assess the situation only after I got spat on, this isn't the first time something like this happened to me by another white male here. While I also almost got jumped by 4 Hispanic workers with the guy that spat on me, and a manager with a body cam just doing nothing while they had their hands clocked back to strike me. All while I was taking my mom to the emergency room! Horrible experience here! Can you imagine just being here for less than 10 minutes and something like this happens to me here in this community? Is there going to be justice or is this sort of stuff something is this the new norm!?
Also waved at police and just passed by with absolutely no spatial awareness and almost got jumped at this exact moment when they said after the police just passes by less then 30ft away, "no one to help you now."
For the record wasn't scared at all but trying my best to make it to my elderly mother who had an emergency in the bathroom needing my assistance... however I am starting to be cautious of Hispanics and white people these days... as these attacks been mostly by these two communities. I have family and friends on both spectrums so being attacked like this by these two communities in Orange County the place I was born and raised, why are people treating me like I gave them COVID?
1/5 for security not being there and also being the victim of this hate crime, was brushed off as nothing has happened, also handled so horribly like I was the problem, however I just am fed up with this kind of treatment especially in the county I...
Read moreGreat location, nice shops and a beautiful view of the ocean. We live in San Diego but find ourselves heading up North quite often and our favorite mid-way point to stop is here. The location is a perfect spot to stop, stretch your legs and grab a coffee or tea and do some shopping. There are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat (everything from Panera to pizza) and quick service versus sit down there are plenty of choices here. We usually grab a drink from Starbucks while we wander and shop. Stance, Vans, Converse, and Tilly’s are always on our must stop and shop list. Some of the stores have great deals (Vans and Converse are usually buy one get one 50% off) while the other shops are just like any other mall you would go to. We stop quite often and have never had a bad experience here. Everyone is always nice and helpful. It has been great especially during the pandemic. Being an outdoor mall plenty of fresh, open air and plenty of room where you are not shoulder to shoulder with everyone. My favorite time to stop is during the holidays. I believe they have the largest Christmas tree in California and they always decorate it so beautifully. Make sure you look closely at the balconies as well as you wander throughout the mall. You may catch a glimpse of Rudolph and his friends hanging out. Halloween is nice as well, it is decorated and they have a huge pumpkin in the center of the mall. The Outlets at San Clemente also has various events planned throughout the year that look fun, worth checking out...
