About the displays, we have been to the location in Irvine and it somehow looks much more inviting than the location in San Clemente. The displays could be better presented but the taste of your chocolate more than makes up for the lack of refinement in displays.
The employees who were there the day we went were mostly on the younger side. And just like most people around us, inflation and tip fatigue has affected us. I would suggest presenting the option to skip the tip altogether right at the beginning than make the customer work for it.

The chocolates are decadent but the displays were just adequate. The staff were not friendly, but not unfriendly either, till the tip after the purchase didn’t meet their expectations. So to just pick a few chocolates from the display and hand it over to the me, I am expected to tip at least 20% of the purchase?
Dear store owner/corporate, I would suggest paying the staff decent wages so they do not have to depend on tips and will not just suddenly develop an attitude when the tip is low. Maybe pay the staff decent wages and remove the tip...
Read moreCame to get some goods for the family, and the worker was very curt and unhelpful. Came in saying hello and good evening and she was just totally unresponsive. When I asked questions she answered as if I was bothering her, so I felt like I couldn’t ask anything and rushed to order, and when I was ready to order she just continued working and putting stuff away as if I wasn’t there when I was the only person in the store, just very unwelcoming. Bought 6 small pieces of chocolate for $30. If I’m going to be spending $30 for a handful of chocolate, I’d at least expect some decent customer service. I can totally understand how working with rude customers all day can ruin your mood but man, you’re still working with people and people pick up on the energy you give. Read moreSometimes the workers can be a little off putting. Many times we go in and they are chatting away. There is no greeting- no warm welcoming feeling. A few times I have waited at the register while they finished up their conversation. I don’t ever say anything but it is a let down because the atmosphere can remind me of a Wonka world if the employees were better with customer service.
